3v only using half of gas tank before it stops running

I have a 2006 mustang GT and she sputters out after only using 8.2 of the 16.something tank. I’ll fill her completely and then she uses the 8.2 gallons and suddenly starts reading empty and will sputter out so I’m confused on why it’s not pumping the whole tank. After she does this I’ve checked the fuel tank and there is still half a tank left and the fuel pump has no visual damage and she throws no codes other then a o2 sensor but I’m in the works of fixing that. Wanting to see if anyone has had any similar problems and have a fix before I start replacing a bunch of shit. I’ve also heard that it could be the EVAC system but am unsure.

cross over tank design, each side of the car has a saddle style tank, the cross over pump has likely failed or the tube connecting the two has cracked/dislodged.

Fuel pump issue

Here’s the strangest bug I’ve ever had

Ok, to start, I’ve resented changed the fuel pump....twice. Now on to the bug. Start out with a completely topped off fuel tank. The gauge reads full. Drive until the gauge reads 1/2 and the gauge will drop to empty. Shortly after the drop the car acts like it’s out of gas and dies. Fuel it up...
