I’ve got an 09 GT Manuel trans mustang. My question is on max torque at the flywheel before it gets risky with engine damage like rods and such. My setup is e-force stage one supercharger, full exhaust 3.73 gears. Was thinking about upgrading the Edelbrock supercharger with brenspeed kits. Well stage one from them they claim is 560hp at the flywheel. And stage 2 is 620. But stage 2 they give a warning on the power Threshold. Are they being over cautious or should I consider forged rods if I decide to go over 600hp?

    search is your friend

it's cool that you have a dude name Manuel to shift the gears for you

450 rwhp is the "generally safe level"

The consensus is about 450 at the rear wheels with a good tune. Anything over that and youre playing with fire.

Under these circumstances, does that count as a manual transmission, or an automatic?

got some decisions to make then. I was really hoping to was more like 475-500 at the wheels

I meant Manual transmission, in the title of my post

You could always make that 475-500 to the wheels and hope it doesn't blow. It probably won't, right?

There are a ton of factors that limit the amount of rwhp you should push for. When at 490rwhp, car was great for years, at 520rwhp not so much lol.

I know of a guy who uses 35 hp of the 663 or whatever his 2013 GT500 makes. It's fabulous!

    560 crank hp = 493 rwhp
620 crank hp = 546 rwhp........ it's on borrowed time.

Speaking of such... How hard is it for tuners to make two tunes, one for e85 and on for 93? Thinking about having lito do this.

I always wonder how these high horsepower setups maintain traction in the lower gears. Maybe you just don't use the lower gears? I guess I need better tires. :(
