Why a poser? I have a 4.94L engine and have no problem with a 5.0 emblem.

If I saw a 5.3 emblem on a Mustang at a meet/show, it would pique my interest and I'd assume you did an engine swap. Then proceed to ask you more about it. It definitely would catch my attention.

RIP - You will be missed
Hmmm... How about something like this (but with ""326 STROKER")? It's from RebadgeDesign
That's probably the best option so far. Definitely keep the "STROKER" part so you won't have too many people wondering where you found an old pushrod Pontiac motor. Do you think they could add a little blue oval?

This is another 5.3 option. Mill the "8" into a "3"

There are some really cool old Pontiac badges on eBay for the 326.

Here are a couple of options for the 5.3 if you don't feel like piecing together the 5.0 and 3.6 badges.

Ford got away with putting "5.0" emblems on the small block 79-93 cars, which really converts by the normal rules of rounding to 4.9. Before that there was the 428 CJ/SCJ, which was actually a 426 cid engine.

Whenever a ricer or ignorant SS/Challenger driver pulls up to me and talks shit, I say it's just a V6, and proceed to spank them.

People that know cars know what 5.0s can do, all my die hard import buddies even use it as a benchmark for their cars.

I don't have any 5.0 on the car. I just have Powered by Ford emblems but the gas cap still has the GT on it and I'm not changing it.

Nothing wrong with using other emblems .. I mounted an 'old Pontiac' 421 emblem on my grille.

A handful of people figured out what it means ... However my block is out being sleeved to a true 5.0l , so I may need to throw a 440 emblem on it..

I have Roush badging on both sides of my 2010 (4.6)..so nobody knows what the hell is in it, since the 10-12 cars all look the same. Just don't put any tri-bar pony V6 crap on it.

Here are the badges I went with. I will not be installing them for a while though.

5.3L on the side could leave people assuming you are running an LS swap. I'd do something like hockeygod suggested...or simply go incognito. Some built to the gills Subaru noses by you (by remote chance) in a street race smile and tell him your running stock. OTOH You blow the doors off some unsuspecting Corvette...and again you tell him it's stock. Either way its a win, win when you go incognito.

I think the 326 would confuse many anyway. Plus it does have the old school vibe.

I'm going with the customer black & red 326 badges with something like "BORED 'n STROKED" or "5.3 STROKER" on the bottom. it'll take a while but I have time (waiting on 3.720" pistons)

Wait, What!!!! You can bore a BOSS50 20 over? Why did I not know this (other than the obvious "I'm an ignorant idiot" answer). So you're using the 3.75" stroke with the 20 over bore to get 326.06 in3. I was assuming you were using the 3.80" stroke with a 3.700 bore to get 326.86 in3.

The possibility of a clean up bore with the 3.700 is a good thing since I'm christening a BBBoss in the next few weeks. It's not one and done.
