Here's my set-up: 06 GT, Hot Rod cams, CMDP's, BBK shorty headers, catted x-pipe, AirRaid CAI and a 93 Bama tune.

If I bought a FRPP 62MM TB and fresh tune with the stock intake manifold would I see benefits? And if I went with the 62MM with a FRPP manifold would I see better benefits?

Any thoughts........thx

Just my personal opinion but I would say no. I don't have any data to back that up. But I didn't notice any improvement at the track when I did mine. But... They look freaking awesome. I have pretty much the same mods except I have long tubes.

You would soften the bottom end and gain power up top.

This is my dyno bone stock and with hotrods/FRPP throttle body and intake/BBK shorty headers.

I doubt you'll see any gains from the FRPP 62mm t/b with your setup. I don't think the oem tb is a restriction until you get somewhere over 500whp.

I ran the oem tb until 600whp then switched to the FRPP 62mm and it definitely helped improve airflow for me at that point.

Op if you havent already bought one of the other members throttle bodies, Id highly recommend buying a gt500 tb with an adaptor plate. I got the tb for 80 bucks and the adaptor plate for like another 40 so Im in it about 120.

I concur. The oem TB is a twin 55 mm unit. On any NA eng, you won't see or measure any increase at all by going to the FRPP twin 62mm or GT-500 twin 60mm TB. With a blower, and > 475 rwhp, then the twin 62mm starts to do something, like another .5 psi boost.

twin 55 = 'X' cross sectional surface area.
twin 60 = 1.19 X (19%)
twin 62 = 1.27 X (27%)

The FRPP looks cool, but you are better off to put the $$ into something else. I have a small M90 blower on my 2010, and also the FRPP twin 62mm tb. What really made some difference was tossing the oem upper grille + oem foglamps..and replacing that mess with a 7 bar grille. Way more air through the upper grille, since the oem upper grille on the 10-12 cars is mostly blocked off, except for the center portion. The 7 bar grille eliminated 2 x 90 deg bends into the cai intake 'snorkel' . My boost increased by almost .5 psi on the hwy.
