It's the nicest. Been in some magazines. Those are Roush prototype wheels that were never produced. 18x9 IIRC.

1000 miles. One dead hawk, bullseyed it with the point of the hood, minor damage.

Time to close out the season. Weather is around freezing for the next few weeks - will it warm up or will there be SNOWBANKS?

finally time to get rid of these trumpeting blue balls i've been having for years, make this thing sound like a smog era 8:1 CR 305 installed in an S10, with a holley 650... Splitter/spoiler thing is my own design as shown in my other thread I should never have started. H was JBA's terrible piece that I've reworked a couple of times, fixed expansion, fixed h joint, added $$$$ reducers to go to my stock tailpipes. Tonight I'm fitting the FR500's I cleaned up (again,) marking out where the M80's go and getting up in there with the sawzall. 4 easy lap welds later and the exhaust will once again be done. THEN pull both front fender liners and move my wideband wiring from the driver's to the passenger side, easy. Then install the WOT box.

If I have time in the next week or so I can finish the design of the ultragauge holder that will go on my column. Just like an old monster tach you'd install with a hose clamp!

I'm resealing the bathtub in my intake manifold with silicone, as you'd do. Unfortunately, I am not sure this will fix the vac leak. I did some pressure testing and it was inconclusive. Roush does not sell anything to Canada any more and wasn't real helpful getting me a gasket - they tried to add it to summit's inventory but I never had any luck.

Video of vacuum leak:

Hopefully the Yamabond gets it done.
I ended up having to put my catch can back in my car and bent a bracket out of aluminum bar stock today. After seeing some of the brackets that you have built lately, I felt completely ashamed of my simple one bend, one hole abortion of a bracket.

Don't feel too bad, I believe I accidentally discarded one of my 6 m8 x 40 fully threaded flanged head blower to manifold bolts. After trying to seal the top plate on with 20 year old red rtv that no longer worked, I had put all of the contaminated fasteners (shorter, disposable, and washers in a bag, and I think I grabbed the m8x40.

You think you can get those?

I got something close. Won't match. :|

I hear you, the number of locally sourced replacement fasteners is slowly creeping up on my car.

Found my original bolt I had threaded into a boss on the intake so it _would not get lost._

Nearly done tacking up my resonators.

Finishing tonight/tomorrow AM, then reroute WB wire, install WOT BOX, mount this catch can drain I made, attempt and fail to seal intake vac leak, run car.

Tired people make mistakes... I have a demanding job. I don't have kids I'm 39 - going to try invitro soon as the past few years haven't gone well trying to get pregnant - but I wonder how guys with kids have project vehicles or projects or any kind of life. I think I'll have to fake my own death to work on my next project?

I keep whittling the cost/effort down (was going to do cross platform engine swap, standalone, etc..) but instead have decided to go with a GMT800 and a 440 cube LQ4 (wiseco makes these neat pistons which make it possible with a 4.060 bore.) with edelbrock heads and intake, a built 4L80e, trans controller and paddle shifters. I need a farm truck. Should suffice. Maybe I'll change my mind again? To electric?

With 3 kids, it is not easy. I work some pretty messed up schedules so sometimes I'll get a 2 or 3 week stretch and work on it while the younger kids are in daycare and the older one is in school. When the older one gets home from school, I just let him play fortnite and it buys me an extra 2 hours to get stuff done.

Woke up at 0520 to install the dipstick (lokar, actually worked with the headers.) Installed the 90mm idler on which had tried to make the bearing fit better with retaining compound, belt, wiped down the interior, hit the ground, tightened the front lugs up, drove to rinse it off, and to work.

Will tidy up the wiring for the wideband and maybe finish the wotbox tie ins at the ecu harness and coil power point this week. I'm kind of tired.

No indication of the vac leak that I can tell. We will see.

What would you do if you had a vac leak you couldn't fix - sell all tools, part out car, sell hulk to Sqwerl for $250 so he can build another bullitt.

Actually, I think I found it - I believe the provent housing is leaking. Going to contact the germans for a free one if I cannot fix it myself. So glad it's not something else weird, was thinking blower bypass shaft, etc etc.

Car doesn't feel faster than when I took it apart but it was hot and humid. 3mm smaller pulley made for the same boost with the new longtubes and midpipe - again, weather affects this greatly. Same belt worked perfectly. I need to calibrate my boost gauge to see if I'm actually at 12 or it might be lucky 13.

Some things about the exhaust I like more (explosions, popping, loud,) some things I like less (not as deep.)

Now for a 800 mile road trip tomorrow!
