My 2010 gt's ac was only blowing about 55-60 degrees and its been this way since I bought it. It takes about 15min and having max ac on to just start to get comfortable.

So.... I just bought an ac manifold gauge/and vac pump and yesterday replaced the ol ladys accumulator in her crown vic. Pulled 30lb vac for 30min. And recharged and its bitter cold now.

I got off work today excited to get my ac in the mustang acting right and went by shop to get discharged. Came home pulled 30lb vac for 30min. And started recharging. Got about 9oz of first 12oz can of r134 in then can froze up and the system refused to take anymore.
I figured its ok because the system calls for 21oz so ill just slowly add the 2nd can in gas form without tipping and still get 21oz in.
I only get a few ounces of second can in and the system wouldnt pull anymore refrigerant. Had car running max ac....max fan.... i couldnt distinctly hear compressor clutch kicking in or out (headers and borlas) but it must of been engaging because it did put out cool air....just not cold.

I waited 20-30min and it still didnt take anymore untill i held the can up way above the manifold gauge. With purging air out of fill hose for both cans im sure i still got right at 20-21oz of refrigerant in but its still blowing 55-60 degree cool air only just like before. No leaks....
I do get some clicking sound when I first start car coming from behind the dash like the blend door motor or something. This also been happening since i got the car. Ive never messed with blend door before so not sure if this would cause cool but not cold air.
Any idea what it could be?

Depending on which blend door is not working right could be your issue. If the door is not diverting the cold air properly or mixing in warm air you're gonna have issues.

Strange how it wouldn't take the Freon though. That would lead me to believe there might be another issue. Does everything check out with the AC gauges?

When recharging you are supposed to invert the can and hold it higher when the can gets low. Did you put pag oil in the system as well? And are you measuring the air temp with the ac on max? The temp will be higher then if it was on a lower setting.

Regardless Im sure a blend door is most likely at fault like Boss said. Its quite common on crown vics. The gears strip keeping them from functioning correctly.

Only about 1/4oz of pag was discharged. I added 1/4oz to the fill hose but my gauges dont have a purge valve so had to break fitting to purge and most the oil spewed out but i dont think 1/4oz low would cause much issues.

Pressures where around 35-40 on low side and 225-250 high.
I bet it is the blend door. Guess ill do some researching
