I just installed an AFR Gauge on my NA Mustang.

At idle i have a reading from 14 to 17/18, it's not stable at all.
When i drive it's around 14 to 17. If i go woot it jump to 12 then go back to 14 immediatly after. and then still move from 14-16 randomly.
In resume it not stable at all, and i have an average of 16.

Tune is from bamachip.

I have a bosch sensor. plugged on the driver side at the end of my OffRoad long tube header.

Been to the track, car was totally consistant at 12.80/12.90 (in 10 runs). Even if i found that very slow. was waiting more 12.40.

Any idea. (i know nobody with a AFR to double check mine) ?
Thx

Idling anywhere from 13-17 is normal.

So if you go WOT and stay in it the AFR stays at 12 or does it go to 12 then up to 14?

it stay at 12 a very little (less than 1/10th of a second) then go back to 16/17

I will have to try to make a video. as i have a plot mode we can check the history.

if you go WOT and rise above 13.5 then you are way too lean.

I would order a new tune(vmptuning.com). When you go wide open your A/F should be at 12.5 and stay at that till you let off the gas.
My idle A/F runs 14.5 to 14.8 never any higher.Did you try pulling your 02 sensor make sure its clean and recalibrate your wide band ?

you might want to get it on a dyno to make sure is reading correct.

My AFR is without calibration and doesn't stay at all at 12, and it must be clean it's brand new.

A dyno in montreal hahahaha. :thud:

That's our main problem, no one is able to do real thing on a mustang there.

Last time i was on a local dyno they gave me a 338 RWHP (i'm NA with stock long block). They only do civic in the week end.

Before you installed the wide band 02 sensor you need to do a fresh air calibration. then after a while you need to remove the 02 sensor and recalibrate it.
