Call me crazy, but I have always been a fan of the Big Block N/A cars...there was a 732 rwhp Boss 525 S197 at one of the last shows of the year. That car shook the ground when it started and was absolutely terrifying to hear and see revving.

I am thinking more along the lines of a 5.4 based big bore with Ford GT heads and a lot of compression. Power under the curve is just as important to me as peak numbers especially for a street driven combo, which we plan to road race from time to time.

I can understand the thrill of maxing out a combo and the thrill of being larger displacement motors with less cubes. The scream of a small displacement V8 at high revs is also something that I love. But for me there is something about the whole big engine in a light car feeling. A car that rips the head off the at the top end....pummels you in the mid range and pulls hard from the basement.

He will have the Fastest All motor S197 Around, exluding those fully build procars

Still I would love to see a 5.0 built like the Ferrari 4.5 V8. 9000 rpm redline and 570 hp at 9000 rpm. There is so much left on the table now with the 5.0 as far as power. The Boss 5.0 turns 7500 rpm for 440 hp and there is still more rpm and DI left on the table.

Can you imagine a 13 or 13.5:1 CR 5.0 with ported heads...high lift superfinished cams...lightweight forged internals...and a 9,000 rpm redline? With a power spread like the M3 4.0 liter? ( 3900 rpm torque peak 8300 rpm power peak )

i have enough trouble trying to get tracking with 4.10's, and i have 285/40/18 on the rear which actual equates to a 3.90's.

I cant immagine what 4.56's would be like.
12.6 at 121?? Damn. Is the 285/40/18 a street tire?

My 2010 N/A GT worked best with 4.56's and 28 in Et drags. Low 1.5 60 foots and Mid 11 sec ets were the norm. It would turn some rpm on the highway but I never once trailored it to the track.

Yeah the 4.56s are nice and 3rd gear with the TR3650 pulls like a train, they are alot of fun. On the highway I see 70-72mph @ 2600-2700
Hmm. Well thats good to hear. I "feared the gear" when getting the 3.90's. But that was before I got a drag radial. Now i'm seeing no reason why I shouldnt go with a 4.56 lol

How loud are they? I have 4.10s and I can hear a little bit of whine compared to the stock 3.55s.

You don't hear them during cruising all that much, but when you let off the gas and coast the whine quite a bit. I have road in one car with 4.10s and it didn't whine at all that I can recall

I have 4.10s and I have zero whine and noise. They are as silent as my stock 3.31s

I just replaced my Yukon 4.56 gears with Ford Racing 4.56 the Ford gears are are quite as stock, the Yukon gears made noise, although I did find a bad pinion bearing,
rpm's with a 27" tall tire is 2500 rpm at 65, and 2900 at 70mph, the car is way better to drive around now with the 4.56's then it was with the 3.73's,
