i run 12.6s in +2000da /90deg weather rite now, just wonder if its worth the swap.

I was wondering the same thing. I know a tune really improved my car with better shift points... 12.8 with DRs doesn't sound that good considering people have been getting that out of the stock manual.

the auto tranny cant handle much TQ from whats been told here so far. Racing stock is fine, but seems like everyone is shooting 100 shot of Noz. Autos sux anyway.. only for lazy drivers.. the 6 speed is finally out now.. I cant wait till an auto with nos hits the race track.. I think that tranny will blow up like the death star. heheh

Here is my point.. Look at all the shops buying the 5.0... how many are buying autos? look at Lamborghini, Porsche, and Ferrari.. ask for an auto and they will laugh you out.

not sure about being lazy but auto's win races (and some go fast too) thats why i bought one. i'm a bracket racer at heart and when a stick shift car pulls into the stagings lanes there's a f'n traffic jam of people trying to pull behind the duck with a clutch yes i've done it and so have you SD
oh and before i bought my car Lentech told me to buy a stick shift car and convert it to a 4r70 cause the 5r55s was total junk....well i disagree. it may not be as stout as a TH400 but for 99% of the 05up mustang owners it's more than strong enough. i doubt ford will put a weaker transmission into a car with over 100more hp than the previous model "stock". big question is when will someone make a decent torque converter for the 6 speed auto.
