I did a 4V Mach1 swap on my old red coupe with all new edge wiring mach460 one-touch power windows remote keyless entry etc. several years ago.
It was a nice little car. The last owner put a Terminator motor in it.

It's a easy swap
You can use a stock sn95/new edge k-member and 1" shorter than fox length a-arms to keep stock track width using 96-04 spindles.
Use a frpp control pack for the 3V or a Fast or BS3 or Pro-efi with cam phaser lockouts.
A 01-04 style 3650 or t56 will work
99-04 hydraboost just swap the new edge brake pedal into fox pedal box.
Use 99-04 p/s hoses.
96-04 a/c compressor with matching a/c hoses just swap evaporator over to 96-04 outlets(easy swedge and solder)

Couple of questions SSP:
If a complete 05-09 pull out is purchased (3V motor, 3650 trans, and wiring harness) or a complete S197, can the 3650 and wiring harness be used? Most of the swaps I've found say to used the FRPP control pack. Also you mentioned using a 01-04 trans, why?

With using the newer k-member, which steering rack do you use? Fox or SN95?

My goals are to have a stock manual 3V with power steering and A/C. Once everything is installed and running flawlessly, I will start modding. I'll probably run factory exhaust manifold and a modified fox body H.

I think I've found a way to get over selling my 05 lol, thanks for any info.

You need a 01-04 trans for shifter style and location.
You can use a factory ECM and injector harness and get the power junction harness that would make it like a control pack from Dunne-rite.
The factory ECM will have a lot of stuff that needs turned off and modified in tune vs a control pack ECM.

Fox rack with bump-steer kit.

Thanks man. I'm going to start brainstorming and get a parts list together. Should be a fun project, car needs major chassis work first. UCA mounts are practically gone, so I will not to find a solution for that. Also being a 85' convertible poor thing needs subframe connectors and a 4 point roll cage bad. I've read that reinforcing the torque boxes is a good idea. Don't want to add power without stiffening it up.

There's a guy on Instagram I follow, @3vfox (go figure right) who swapped in a 3v with a lil paxton. From the videos he posts, the thing absolutely rips.

So for gauge cluster I'm assuming everyone just goes aftermarket gauges? Also I wonder if maintaining cruise is completely out of the question.

Looks like you can keep the factory gauges with some wiring mods... I was thinking complete custom dash plate using all aftermarket , including tac w/light and a GPS based digital Speed-O.

I look at it like this, if I am going mod happy, I might as well have all the gauges I want installed in the dash instead of having pods everywhere.

Looking thru the UPR website, the modular tubular K is only $100 more than 1" shorter fox arms. I'll probably use a UPR K-member with factory arms. Would there be an issue installing the hydroboost and stock 4-lug brakes? I want to maintain the sleeper/4 lug look.

Way more brake volume than the 4-lug stuff was setup for. You could do SVO calipers up front and 4-lug disc in rear and it would probably be fine.

Although if I had to do a mod swap again I would go coyote like my buddy did this Saleen that I built a motor for

He came out to our meet Friday night. He asked me to race him but my bottle was too low & once he looked at my tires he said never mind ( i need DR's). I told him come back out this weekend, but he said he's back off to sea again. I'm pretty sure he would've kick my ass anyway in that light ass car!

Man you ever came out to the meet in spring? I would love to meet you in person.

No I don't get to many meets just some track events. I got 5 kids at home and several cars I am building for myself and my wife and some friends.

That Fox makes great power it won't hook for nothing on the street. It's a forged built coyote with stage3 cams. It will likely be twin turbo by this time next year.

I built the motor and my buddy Bobby finished the car. The owner is a buddy of ours Parker.
He puked his SBF 306 all over Chris' Dyno before swapping to a Coyote.

I will be at Tx2k hopefully as well as Parker and Bobby(black Mamba TT coyote Mark VIII )

My little brother goes to the Spring meets sometimes he has a Pi swapped 96 GTS that I built

I'm in the process of swapping a 3v w/ a whipple on it from an 07 gt into a 93 coupe. the 07 was running and driving, just needed alot of body work. I'm breaking down the 07 and will try to use everything I can, harness, etc.. as I'm trying not to spend 1400 on the FRRP ECU, plus a tune for the whipple.. The coupes in the body shop, and i'm stripping the gt now... I have a set of 3v to 2v plates to bolt up a set of 2v headers to it, UPR Modular Engine K-Member, tubular control arms.. and looking for a hydroboost setup or you would have to switch to manual breaks.. cars 1/2 stripped and almost ready to be scrapped..

He is on here as 3Vfox. Its my Brother in law and the car went 10.30's at 136 on the limiter before the end of the track. We have the motor out now adding compression with a new set of Diamond pistons and doing a few fuel up grades for an E85 tune.
