For the Canuckistan residents, Ford Canada released the part ordering info this week for the 2005-2012 cars, and there is stock available in the warehouses up here.

Fucking dealers always act like dropping it off for a 10 minute repair is no big deal. Some of us aren't capable of driving two vehicles at a time and it's not like their dealership is within walking distance of my house. But we are inconveniencing them by waiting.

at the dealer where I work at we have a shuttle, actually 3 , to drop people off somewhere while their car is worked on.
we also can pick them up after the repairs are done.
I am sure most dealers have this service.
Just a heads up -- check with your local Ford dealer. Mine had gotten a few of the passenger-side replacement airbags in. I made an appointment and had it replaced this morning - in and out in about 50 minutes.
I see we're in the same state. Which dealer did you go to?Just a heads up -- check with your local Ford dealer. Mine had gotten a few of the passenger-side replacement airbags in. I made an appointment and had it replaced this morning - in and out in about 50 minutes.

Well - scratch that! The dealer called this morning and said even though it fit, the inflator they installed had the wrong part number and they needed me to come back so they could re-install my old inflator until they could get the correct part number in. What a pain.
To be continued...
