I had the fan speed control stop working except on high. I'm told I need a blower motor resistor. Has anyone had to replace this and if so how do I do it and where is it located?

Never done one on a mustang but they are usually on the blower motor housing. Do a google search and you'll have your answer quick.

Yeah the resistor is bad, I just changed one on a Chevy silverado today in about 5 minutes. Not sure how bad it is to get to on our mustangs though.

Just so I know were all talking about the same thing. I'm asking about the fan control on my a/c and heating control. The a/c or heater will not blow air out the vents unless it's on (4), it will only blow on the high setting.

Yep the blower motor resistor. Check your local auto parts store you they should be able to get you one much cheaper than Ford.

Just had to do this on my Grand Am. Mine would only work on the 4 and 5 setting.
