ok, so i have been thinking of purchasing this turbo kit for a while now. just because its cheap and wanted to see what its capable of doing. But now that SD has clearly summed up this kit is garbage. I think id rather not..SD knows his stuff. and the kit looks like crap compared to some others out on the market.

My favorite quote "do it right the first time, because its going to cost you twice as much to do it the 2nd time" after looking that the quality of the other kits you guys may choose other wise. Save your money and buy a quality product. This kit looks like a cluster fuck compared to powerhouses kit.

SD how does powerhouses kit, compare to other kits on the market THP, HP and hellion? assuming you have had experience with powerhouse.

We KNOW you get what you pay for. But the on3p kit, it may work brilliantly for your setup, our it may fuck up and blow your engine the first day.
Trusted brands are going to be more expensive for obvious reasons.

At the end of the day, they will make "similar" power but the question is, what kind of risk are you willing to run in terms of reliability vs. cost.

This kit will make power.we know that. we've seen it installed and it seems to run just fine for the low boost application setup, but expect to be driving around and one day your BOV get stuck open or closed, it may or may not happen, but dont cry when it does. thats the risk of running a cheaper brand. If you want big power, buy a TT system or a single fucking 81x10^1000 mm turbo.

Personally, i think on3p have done a greater good by providing a cheaper kit because IMHO the other kits are heavily overpriced. 3500k for piping kit from hellion. fuck that. Im all for quality components, but SS piping dont cost 3500 to build. i guess it has a strong demand in the market.

Im all for quality components, but SS piping dont cost 3500 to build. i guess it has a strong demand in the market.

And how many people did they pay, and hours did they spend to design that piping? Forget cost of materials, you don't go to work every week and let your boss pay you in "I owe you's." I bet if you break down actual cost the mark up is on par with just about any other product including this kit.

I think it really depends on your goals and your budget... I'm almost 20 and in college I don't mind starting with the on 3 the upgrading as I go ie bov wastegate and ic I was just gonna do a build your own and I think this will take out alot of headache in doing it from scratch this I can change what I dint like... That's just me. I will most likely be getting this kit unless there is a outrageous deal on a s/c when I'm ready to pull the trigger

I have seen Mike's kits up close and examined the engineering involved in them. They are well thought out, reliable, and powerful. As far as a single turbo kit goes they are one of, if not the, best on the market.

it's true... nitrous hits so hard all at once and a blower is just brutal, but the way a car pulls when a turbo spools up has no comparison

i am not pissed i am just telling him what i know from installing the kit and other kit like power house, hellion, turbo horsepower and a few others. that car hasent seen the track seance it was done that winter, but it will in a few weeks when i get my wheels and slicks and put in the trans and suspension stuff. but i will get booted from the track because i dont have a roll cage (my wife want let me because we are having a baby and want be able to get her in and out of there). so maybe when she gets a little older i will put the cage in or when i get another car she can ride in other then the wifes.

if someone lives near charlotte, nc i can show them this kit in person so you can see. i put it on a fox body and upgraded to a 62mm turbonetics turbo .81 exhaust, turbonetics waste gate and a tial bov. it will be tuned next wed we will so what it will make.
