Relax.
All the info you need is only a phone call away.
I made that call.
The company going out of business is Livernois Vehicle Development.
The company we all know is Livernois Motorsports.
These companies aren't related.
Google each company, you'll see both are in Michigan but different cities.

Livernois Motorsports (LM) is owned by Livernois Vehicle Development (LVD). I think LVD is owned by Dan Millen's Mom/family.
I heard that a few years ago LM lost a couple million dollars in one year because of mismanagement and too much money spent on racing (and was loosing money, just not as much for years). It did not go over real well with those holding the purse strings. This may be the net result of a situation like that playing itself out.
I'm local to Livernois and you hear a lot of scuttlebutt from inside the industry around here. Hard to tell fact from fiction.

Guys,
As stated, Livernois vehicle development is in no way connected to Livernois Motorsports, there is no "mother ship" to us. We definitely appreciate the concern, but we are doing better than ever.
As for anyone posting hearsay, it is just that. Misinformation as most people hear Livernois and don't go past that unfortunately. while I can see there being some confusion because of a similar name and logo it's just coincidence. We have never been busier and plan on doing what we do best, making cars and products that are the envy of the industry.

So, the mother owned Livernois Vehicle Development, and the sons own Livernois Motorsports, and they're not connected in any way? And the same logo and "similar name" for both are just a coincidence? Yet they're both owned by the same family? Maybe you're confused as to what a connection really is.
I get that they may have parted ways at one point, or operate separately, or money may not flow from one to the other. But to say they're not connected in any way, and that the similarities are just a coincidence is, well, kind of BS.
