i understand losing interest in a car...i can tell you what has worked for revigurating interest and liking my car, is hitting up local meets, like cars & coffee...it always nice to talk to fellow enthusiasts who appreciate your ride.

i think its a case of the grass is always greener after sometime...

It's just a lot of people want the newest thing. Your car is still cool.

I know what you ment and I agree to a point. If my car was a DD I would be in a new GT500 for sure! I don't DD my car though so I can do some things other 3v guys cannot.

I agree, the only thing better then the people I meet from my car is the extra time I get to spend with my son since he is my biggest fan in this car game.

For the last two years I've been extremely frustrated with my car. I had 3 motor failures and 2 years of crappy tunes. I was ready to start the damn thing on fire.

In October I made some major changes with the GT500 swap and have continued to upgrade and make improvements since. My car is now exactly what I want and an absolute joy to drive. I still have many mods planned, and am looking forward to seeing the results of each one. I really do enjoy working on it and making it bigger and better. This year I'm going to drive the shit out of it.

I lost interest in it. It was was weird. One day I loved it, then I parked it and could care less about it. I'm hoping the new lower brings the interest back.

i think it's human nature to get bored with something and begin to not appreciate ot, but when you meet others that appreciate what you've done...it really changes the game IMO.

I have had my 06 for 3 years and a few months. I have modded it extensively, more than I could have imagined when I purchased it. It now has 26k miles on it and runs very well, no issues. What really drives me to love this car is that I race it every month when my local track is open. I put 75+ runs on it every year. Its taken some trial and error but I finally have my car dialed in. I could go out and buy a new one easy but why, mine is so much fun.

If your bored then its because you are a boring person. Wake up :asshat: Go have some fun with your ride. Stop treating it like a trailer queen and drive it! You guys with the new fiveOhs that are bored and am thinking about trading it in...........WTF...... talk about pissing away money.

Yeah after sinking a boat load of coin on my Marauder the 06 isn't getting any love...just the basic fr3 handling pack, FRPP GTA, Steeda CAI and bama x3 tune. I am thinking a 2.3 Whipple but lost interest. Maybe sell for a 5.0.

Never get bored with mine, still get excited everytime I get behind the wheel after 6 years of ownership. Still love everything about it, and it's paid for.

I've never been the kind of guy who had to have the newest thing out there. Very happy with what I've got. Wouldn't even trade for a Shelby.

I'm NEVER selling my car. I go through withdrawals after a couple weeks of not driving it. Months are just torture. Damn you Uncle Sam!

But for real, I understand. There are days I wish I would just trade it in and not mod a damn thing, but thats where most of the fun is. Until problems of course. Taking it to the track is the most fun you'll ever have in the car though so until you've done that at least once, you can't even contemplate selling it.

I enjoy driving it but realize how much I have wasted on it. I have so many parts waiting to get installed in my garage it blows my mind every time I look at it.

Hell. I just want a new F150 4X4 Platinum so bad I can't stand it. My DD is my 19 year old Toyota truck with 242k miles I bought new in 1994. Gotta wait 3 years till my Harley is paid off though. I really can't complain. I'm thankful for what I have. The Mustang mods are done. I've pimped it as far as I can tastefully pimp it. I could never see myself dumping 10-12 k in a new engine with a bigger F/I with only 26k miles on the car. So I'd say yeah I'm done. I think since I don't drive it much that when I do drive it, it feels special. That's how I keep that lovin feeling lol.

Mod when I can afford it and wax it when I can't.:lol2:

If I had money, THEN I'd be bored cuz I'da bought everything at once instead of working towards the way I want my car slowly.:beerdrink:

Only had mine a little over 3 years, and there isn't much more mod wise I want to do. There are 3 mustang clubs in Jacksonville alone, so there is plenty of car stuff to do. Plus like many of you I get a lot of love, no matter if it's a gas station or just driving down the road.

Last year I was getting frustrated with my Bullitt since I had no idea what direction I wanted to go in. I ended up getting the new car because I felt that it may have been time to move on if I couldn't make up my mind, but now I am having major withdraws from the Bullitt and have no want to sell it.

Lose interest in the Mustang...never. Even after owning my 07 GT/CS Vert for nearly 5 years, I would still turn around and check her out when I would be walking away from her in a parking lot.

I am almost done with my 5.0 mods, for a while at least. Yeah I am one of those guys who doesn't want to void the warranty, so I am sticking to suspension and appearance mods for the time being. I am just going to drive the heck out of it, knowing if something breaks, I'm covered. Every time I crank my car up, that Roush exhaust puts a smile on my face.

However, I can relate to you losing interest. I have a Jeep rockcrawler that I was ALL about a few years ago. It has been sitting in my driveway for a while now. Hasn't seen the trail in nearly two years. I know that I need to get rid of it, let someone else enjoy it, but I know I will lose my tail if I sell it, and I am not ready to do that just yet.

I haven't lost interest yet, there's a lot of things I want to do, but the money situation is tight and I would like to purchase a house at the end of this year so saving money is imperative.

Small things though really help - shift knob, pedals (non-ricey) and other small items help out a bit.

Finding that ticking noise will be the next thing on my list.
