Not lost interest completely ... but when something fails... like the engine (been there...) it really sets me back.

For the most part, I loathe any aftermarket part that is held on with double-sided tape. You know, like pretty much every single chrome interior trim piece in the American Muscle catalog.

I go through spells where I don't think about it much, but I'm always planning something else for the car.

For the first time in years, though... I'm starting to feel like it's close to "done". I know when the track opens, I'll want to build the rear end. I've been kinda putting that one off for a long time. The track isn't going to be a huge drive for modding, though. I'll never take out the back seats, so in reality, if I get kicked off for going too fast, I might not come back.

Here are some of the things I've been thinking about doing:

- Get rid of center gauge pod and go with a different gauge setup
- Build rear end, obviously (can't decide between 8.8" or 9")
- Possibly switch from GT500 springs/struts to Tokicos
- Fix the caster issue (adj a-arms or C/C plates)
- Possibly a cage, but want a removable rear bar (not sure how fast that will met me go)

2200 miles on the car and I'm going into service for whining diff and problems wit second and fourth gear.

Should of bought a auto.

Dealer denied the warranty. Not only that the dickhead service manager says he couldn't even replicate the problem but either way he wouldn't touch it because of the mods on the car. It just has bolt ons. He also said he thinks somebody had already had the tranny out of my car which is 100% not true as I bought the car with 10 miles on it and it has been in my possession the full time.

Oh well I'm not sure which direction I will take now. Feel like putting it back to stock and getting rid of it. Might have to put it back to stock just to be able to get a dealer to look at it.

^^ Many dealers suck, and your experience is simply more proof that any 'warranty' people think they have on these cars is simply based on the integrity and mood of the service manager you happen to speak with on that particular day. They can honor or deny any and all warranty claims presumably on a whim.

Try a different dealer.

AFAIK, a removable rear bar isn't legal ^
I actually posted a thread about the roll bar. It's been something I've been trying to figure out for a while now. It would be nice if non-welded ones were good up to a certain speed, but of course I can't find anything like that in the NHRA rules.

I'm hoping that if I just stick to test & tune / friday night drags, I'll be ok.

I've lost interest only for the fact that I can't really afford to do anything mod-wise right now. All I've done to the car since I got it are KR500 axlebacks and an email tune.

If I had the money the first thing I'd do is suspension and wheels/tires. Then a blower after that.

As for appearance mods, I have zero interest in them. I bought my Bullitt purely for the fact that it had no tacked on spoiler, side scoops, splitter, chrome etc.

Lately I've been meticulously detailing the car to relieve my winter boredom in general, not with the car.
