I use it in the gas tank of my bike & all my cars. Not so sure about sumping it into the crankcase tho, even tho they say it's ok to do so. I'm not willing to take the risk.

Techron is equally good stuff, similar results. Or you could just buy Chevron gas and not worry about either!

I dumped 1/3 in my crank case (NOT the Mustang) and ran it for about 100 miles... I changed the oil right after.

The 10w30 oil felt a lot thinner than usual as well as a bit gritty (never had that problem before seafoaming). Oh, the thinning of the oil makes the oil change a bit faster. =] LOL.

How do you do this without pissing off all your neighbors and avoiding the fire department being called?

seafoam was originally inted to be injested into the intake manifold, suck it in through a vacume line, once its in, shut off car and let it sit, the longer the better, i usually let it sit for a few hours, then start her up and watch the smoke show, rev the engine too, just dont let it sit there. change plugs and oil afterwards. mopar makes a similar solution too. it works wonders as well.

I use it on my 94 Honda Accord (Work car) vand I love this stuff. I recommend it to anyone I meet. I havent used it im my mustang yet though. If you purchase it in Walmart, Its about a $1.00 cheaper than area auto parts stores. IE AUtozone. I love it and think you should try it. I use it as a gas treatment and it always work.

I used the Mopar equivalent back in the day with my "5.9 Magnum" As soon as it would start to ping... I'd dump some down the intake, let it sit for an hour or two, then fire it up. Truck would run like new every time. Finally had the dealership replace the faulty intake belly pan gasket to actually resolve the carbon build up problem.... should a never sold that truck, was a good truck

Mustang related, I'd imagine it wouldn't hurt to do the same since the 4.6 3v seem to have a tendency to injest oil via the PVC. After one 'cleaning' you could add a oil catch can to resolve that one.

I used it in my ninja and in my 95 3.8. love the stuff. most advance auto parts have it on the counter...fyi, use it in a well ventilated area, it smells pretty good burning off, but you SHOULDN'T inhale it. lol

I accidently inhaled the good amount of fume through exhaust and was sick all day. lol
Other than that, I used it regularily on my carbed cbr600 and new edge with 60k miles. Good stuff.

If you can find it, the aerosol works best, with the straw that you put under the boot on the throttle body. It points at the tb blade. You can shut off a hot motor, hold the blade open, and spray it in. It will let it sit on the valves and break up the carbon build up.

So I tried this and didnt get much smoke, I gotta say I was a little dissapointed and emberassed cause I warned my neighbors and they were watching when... Nothing Happened!!! Although I did catch a good race right after and noticed some smoke coming from the back, not sure if it was my brakes or seafoam but none the less the other guy got a good smoke show!

i'm interested because I do get mild pinging on 91 octane, especially in warmer weather, on tip-in (even with everything stock it did this).

Might even help the folks on the 2005-2008s that haven't had their spark plugs out yet.

The only thing that makes me nervous, making the engine ingest 1/3 can of this stuff what does that do to the cats?

Ok, i'm going to revive this thread.

I bought 2 cans of Seafoam.

Here's my plan.

I'm going to dump one full can into the fuel tank when I'm close to empty and then I'll fill it up.

I'll put 1/2 a can where you put the engine oil in. I'll change the oil after driving 200 miles with it.

I'll put 1/2 a can in the brake booster vacuum tube. I wasn't 100% sure if I had the right tube so I took a photo of it below. Is that the right tube to suck in seafoam?

I'm a little nervous about sucking Seafoam into that tube. Any tips on how I should go about doing that? Any chance of damaging my engine or hydrolocking it?

Fist time i used it the same thing happenned. Until I actually drove the car and put a load on the engine. Then it was like a damn crop-duster. I remember some farmers staring at me as I went passed and you could see it on their faces- "poor little Mustang done blowed up".

That's it, I would stick to one can though. Just let the vacuum draw the SeaFoam fron the can like it's sipping, pull the hose away if the engine sounds like it's about to die.

I was planning on putting 1/2 a can of Seafoam in the vacuum tube.

So you think may be 1/3 or even 1/4 is better?

Go to the link i posted. all of the answers are right there directly from seafoam.

And yes just use 1 bottle.

1oz per gallon of gas.

Couple oz's in the vac tube and couple oz into the oil. You dont need alot to be effective.

i used the whole damn can with my 01 grand cherokee thru the vacume line and holy shit wat a smoke show! runs better/smoother now......I should have let er sit in there a little bit longer tho.............i'll try it in the fuel line next - $12.50 here in Canada. I have some detonation in the stang on regular gas when I goose her, and especially in the summer time as well as a ticking sound @ cold start up for 2 mins (very shitty and un nerving). anyhoo, before I take her to the dealer and see if the tune is a little screwy, i'm hoping the magic seafoam will do the trick!!
