Auto. Transmission Flush.

I just had my 06 GT's transmission flushed today at a local Ford dealer. The invoice said they used Mercon 5 transmission fluid. Is this the correct fluid for the 5R55S Auto? I hope it was full synthetic. I just want to make sure they put the right juice in my trans.????

You should be good to go. If I had changed/monitored my tranny fluid more frequently I wouldn't be on my second transmission.

Thanks, not to say I do not trust Ford to train the dealership technicians, but the dealer I took it to is not exactly considered "high tech" if you know what I mean.

Thanks again. That makes me feel a little better Sorry to hear about your first transmissions short life, I have always thought the transmission is one of the weaker parts of the s197. I hope I am wrong!
