So its time to get some power! I have two options but not sure which one will be the right one.

Option 1: I buy vortech system from americanmuscle just the vortech kit

or

option 2: I get nitrous kit with all the goodies get gauges/pods headers some gears o/r h pipe and thats it maybe some more things.

currents mods are cai/tune

This car is daily driven I only see the track maybe every three months. I like the idea of having the power at my feet and it always be there but I dont think I should risk it with a blower. I guess I feel safer with nitrous that will only be ran once in a while. The car is a DD and needs to be used all the time the car is driven maybe 100 miles a week. What would you all do?

I know this thread is always repetative but I really cant make a decission.

Not as much as everyone probably thinks I dont have enough for the fully setup vortech thats why I am leaning towards nitrous so I can have gauges and all and not have to worry about having to buy another part. I really want this car to be able to cruise to the track run hard and have a nice cruise back home. I am wondering if you all would just go with a fully set up for nitrous or just buy a vortech and wait to get gagues spark plugs etc..

Save the money you're going to spend on nitrous for the supercharger, patience grasshoppa, it will be worth it in the long run.

Another vote for the blower. I've ran nitrous before and all it does is gives you sneak peaks at what a blower is like all the time, and leaves you with the desire to be supercharged.

Save up if you have to, it'll be worth it.

Haha, yea instead of the switch/button saying "nitrous" it should say "temp blower till empty" haha

Vortech FTW. I ran a Vortech V2 S-trim on my daily driver '07 GT Automatic Coupe for several years. Inexpensive and plenty of power as delivered, with lots of potential to make more power.

I would you all still have the same answer if it wasnt intercooled?
Doesnt matter. Your nitrous fills will add up beyond what you will pay for with a supercharger. If your tuner is good, he can tune it to be a conservative tune like my tuner did(for the moment hehe) where its not beating on the engine as much and then a more aggressive tune for the track.

You also need to stop saying "fully set up" its driving me crazy reading that its "full setup"

Here is a better question since you say you have CAI and tune done, do you have ANY suspension parts done to your car? Sounds like you might be spinning your tires for the wrong plan. My personal opinion, and the other guys will back me up on this since this wasnt one of YOUR options, is spend the money on LCA, UCA, panhard bar, driveshaft, sway bar, relocation brackets, and get that truck lowered with some springs. This will get your foundation set for when you can save up more money on that power adder that will just rip up your tires if you cant plant them

ive contemplated nitrous but its just not worth it.. I have a feeling id have a harder time installing nitro in my car rather than a supercharger. And I would much rather have constant power when I want it.

Almost did the same thing, decided on the blower and will never look back. What everyone here has already said get the blower, even if you have to wait awhile. I waited 4 years before I could get mine finally, thought it would never happen now I'm smiling all the time :).....Nitrous will run out when you most want to use it garunteed and at 40-50 bucks a bottle fill it wont take long to add up to that SC cost territory.
