Well finally things are back on track .

Learned a few things about the 74mmbb vs the 78mm .
The 78mm with .96 carried more hp on the top of the RPM's as expected .
The 74mmbb with .81 came in almost 600 rpm's sooner thru the powercurve but dropped a little on the top rpm's .
I couldn't make more then 25.6 psi's because of backpressure , at least it seemed that way .
The .96 a/r on my 74mm will make a little more power but it will suffer a little more on spool up .
I think Im just going to keep things the way they are for now and make a full pass.

On boost only no Nitrous it made 766 rwhp at 23.8 psi's on a full pull to 6000 rpms.
We turned up the boost as much as we could but the a/f was way rich and started to miss so pull only went to 4500 and we saw 25.6 so we decided just to drop the boost to 20 psi's and hit it with the smack!

Here are the results :

A/F was a little on the rich side but its good like this , will make more power on the street and also take in more air as you go down the track so we were happy . Not bad for a 281ci stock heads and cam combo.

How come you don't dyno past 6k rpm's? does it drop off hard?

There's no reason for it , car has stock heads and cam power starts to drop after 6k so your not doing anything after that. I geared the car to maximize the powercurve . I cross the 1/4 around 5700 in top gear .
Now with the extra power it may cross around 6200 on the smack.

Car ran 137 with the 3.27 gear at 22 psi's and crossed at 5500 rpms.

Oh ok cool, I have seen some people with cams spin to 6500 on the dyno and not much drop off just wondering.
I actually run faster when I shift at 6500 as opposed to 6000, but you're all dialed in bro , great stuff :beerdrink:

Yea , if your N/A you want to be able to spin the motor higher to create more air flow , makes power . When you boosted it really doesn't matter as much , especially a Turbo Car . If the car stays in the powerband longer where its making the most power it will go faster .

Thanks Guys , had me a little worried after all the changes , but Its back on track .
Going to run it like this for awhile but Im thinking of going to E85 .
My buddy Damian from TD Autowerks , who are my Turbo experts says that he has tried every fuel out there on there shop race Turbo Civic and that they made more power , and get this faster spool up with the E85.
There are 4 gas stations within a 5 mile radius of my home that carry it , and its 2.29 per gallon .
Im really considering the move , Ill need to bump up the Injectors to 105's .

Im happy with the results today.

Go for the E85 setup. I've heard good things with the E85 and high HP, especially if its easily available to ya.

Faster spool make sense, since you have to move so much more fuel when using e85. You may beed bigge line and more pump too. Be very intrested to see how it turns out if you go this route.
