Well finally got the car to work better , still needs to get tuned for part throttle , but the good news is its working again.

Looks like the spark plugs were the main issue after the alternator took a dump . I think I fouled them pretty bad on the dyno and the car was just not responding .

Changed the plugs installed a new ProM Racing meter and got rid of the MaFIA . Wired everything up nicely and had my buddy Willie send me some tunes were the fuel at tip in was increased as well as in the lower voltage area . I run the car on open loop all the time . Still not perfect but at least Im able to drive it and roll into it.
Today while on the street tune and riding around in my MT DR's I would roll in it and saw 14.2 psi's and a/f was 11.4 so its looking much better . It only goes lean right in the beginning and then it starts to richen up like its supposed to .
One thing I noticed today is the smaller .81 a/r and 74mmbb spools up much faster and hits harder . Now when the boost hits I can hear the tires go loose . It never did that before with the 78mm .
It would pull hard but not enough to make the tires go loose . So Im a little anxious to get to the dyno on Wed and hopefully to the track to see how it will hook up now . Seems like its pulling much sooner, so I hope to see mid 9s soon .

Great news pete. Can't wait to see some new numbers. What octane are you making your high boost pulls on btw? and what is your boost set at just running around?

Its ProMs Racing Slotted Meter . Rated for 800 hp in a 3" Tube application . They say its unpeggable, so I eliminated my Mafia.

I run 93 octane from Mobile . Well on the street I have it set around 14 psi's , I could run as much as 16 easyly, but I really dont run the car hard on the street I drive nice and easy around town . Besides 16 psi's she's moving out pretty good if I had to get on it .:evillaugh:

When ever I go tune at the dyno I only run c16 or Sunoco Maximal 116.
I dont run alot of timing either about 16 to 17* @ 22 to 24 psi's .
This time around we will turn up the boost as much as it will go probably 27 to 28 psi's timing will be around 17 to 18* .
Then we will make a hit @ 22 psi's with a 100shot @ 16* of timing .
My Motor is 8:7:1 so I still jave room to throw more timing at it as long as I see it still making power .

Congratulations! Can't wait to hear times. Are you going to be at Joliet?

When is it ? If all goes well I should be able to get the car ready for TX and NC . I do need to put a cage in the car which Im dreading.

The weather here in Miami is horrible for making power , hot and humid as hell , not too mention the track conditions are horrible , very slick in the heat.
Will need about two trips to the 1/8th mile tracks just to dial in the suspension and them Ill be at PBIR.
Would love to take a drive up to Alabama to run it at Montgomary and see mu buddy Dave Lewis (GIJOE).

I'm glad you got the issue fixed. Were both shooting for the 9s this week. Damn spark plugs threw us off for a week at the beginning of the build. They could have you going nuts for days.

Yeup , but thats not until November I think ?

ZMAX in NC is in August which I want to make that event .

Bowling Green is in Sept 30th , October 3rd. I tried the last two years to make that event for the King of the Street Shoot out , but haven't been able to get the invite .

Man you aint kidding , these cars are very finiky about stupid things like that . I didn't think the plugs were shot b/c I cjanged them out the week before I went to tune . The car sits at home all day , I have another car for work purposes.
I guess when the Alt failed since the a/f was all over the place it fouled up the plugs . I thought it was electrical or maybe the injectors. I was about to pull the trigger on the 105's but these 80s will support plenty more with a return set up . I was about to change out the O2s but there turned off anyway so I said to myself , hell lets change the plugs again, and BINGO car started to act better.

I want you to hit that 9 so keep us posted .

Nice, should be good weather by then. I want to come down to Houston and see your car make a pass or two.

Awesome that 74 sound like a real winner! Got any 78/74 dyno pull comparisions at the same boost levels?

Not yet planning on going Wed to tune , but we will be looking at the two graphs to see the difference for sure . Im sure its going to be on the dyno for awhile to tune in driveability at part throttle but the WOT shouldn't be a problem.
