I agree
I had an Item Sold. Agreed on a price.
I pulled the add and marked it as sold
after a week I had not heard anything, I know peeps get busy
But buyer said something came up and he backed out.
Bad thing is This guy waited till I made contact instead of letting me know he couldnt make the purchase.

Now I didnt trash him I just blew it off
But some of you may Shocked that this buyer was well respected forum member
I will leave it at that.

So I say he refunded the money
Live and learn

He explained himself, made good on the refund. Leave him alone. He's a good kid.

Agreed!:thumb:

I'll say that once the seller was contacted by the forum he made the refund. He also owned up to the screw up and apologized. That's worth a whole lot in my book. Everybody will mess up from time to time. From today onward the seller did everything he could to make it right. At this point he can't do anything about what happened. There wasn't any name calling or other drama. Taking ownership and ending the drama was the right thing to do.

Glad you got your refund man. I am too, in a risky business and get screwed every now and then. My whole business is built on Credit and service. It just struck me in a hot headed way. I would not have acted out violently although my first reaction is to, but I make effort to not. It's just not worth it.

Props for the guy straightening his face, but I think caution should be in place for a while. I believe he never set out to just fuck somebody, but it amounted to that until he stepped up and did what was right. Props to S197 mod guys for sending him whatever message you sent. Got his attention and I say it for sure speeded up the recovery. Guy deserves another chance ,but I agree , brakes on him for a month is warranted. He's probably Damn good dude that made a big mistake

Thanks everyone for accepting my apology. I sincerely never meant for any of this to play out like it did. Hoping it was quick and easy, and stress free but it didnt turn out that way. Once again, big mess up on my part and i will be damned if it ever happens again.

Merry Christmas.

Acknowledgment of your error and a sincere apology (coupled with a refund) says a lot. I'd buy from you.

To me... That was a pretty decent dollar amount. And he came back and did as the buyer request. A $3K refund is not chump change. Many here are out for blood over a few hundred. I would rather trust a person proving he makes things right than work with some jackass ripping me off over a few hundred. Of course at some dollar amount legal action is possible.

Just offering a different look to the situation... Do I think a 30 day timeout is appropriate? Yes. And I bet he would unstand one...

For me it seems as if there were alot of lies. Didnt matter if he refunded paypal would have reversed the money. When someone says there wife is shipping something out thats one thing but to say every other day shes going to ship it then to eventually say it was shipped and that his kid would send tracking then saying damn kids my wife will send it is total bs. I know that if my wife doesnt ship something I know about it shes not going to hide it from me that it wasnt shipped. We all make mistakes my wife did forget to ship a package but that thing went out the very next day I made sure of that. Sounds like a complete run around maybe even someone else was interested in it for more money and he was playing 2 people at his advantage thats just my personal opinion.

If he wasn't an over the road trucker, I'd agree that he should've been on top of it. With it being that he is, I can appreciate that it's hard to get stuff taken care of. I appreciate that he made it right 100%. How many others have done that in this thread?

Im glad it all worked out as well but in this case he really had no way of keeping the money anyway as paypal would have sided with the buyer because there was never even a package sent. Truck driver or not He claimed several times it had been shipped and it hadnt I would know if my wife or daughter shipped a package or not so either he deliberately lied about it being shipped multiple times or his wife and kids lied to him. Personally I dont see them lying to him because he would eventually come home and see its not been shipped. Again just my opinion and personally after seeing the outcome I wouldnt buy from him. I wouldnt say pink him Im just saying people should be aware that there was alot of fishy stuff going on. Hell he pulled everything off the car and boxed it up he could have shipped it when he did that obviously he was home when that happened. Nobody is out anything thats great though
