Alright guys, so first of all, big props to Ronnie (Mustang30212) for switching all my elect stuff to red LEDs, it looks freakin awesome!

However, I now have a problem. The replacement shaker I bought from a member on here was from a later model, I think an 07. Well the antenna prong that plugs into the back of the shaker is a different size. No problem, searched this and found an adapter that has tons of connections on it at walmart. Well I find a match plug it all back in, still no radio. So I take it out and upon further inspection, I find that the tiny pin inside the shaker 500 connection has bent to the side. Yikes... this thing is super tiny and bent to shit. Well after getting it into what I thought was as good of a position as I could manage, it completely snaps.

:dead2:

Soooo now what? Any ideas?

By the way, this was definitly my fault, I'm sure that while I was reaching back testing all the different adapters, i bent the pin.

I could always send him yours! LOL

Let me check my spare parts...I may be able to fix it for you.

well you know I do still have my old shaker, but it has a different antenna plug in... I may play mad scientist and see what I could come up with.

You know one option I was thinking about was to fill the little inner cavity where the broken pin is with some kind of liquid metal, then press everything together. It would probably never come apart again once it sets lol but it might work

Your old one is totally different than the new one so they won't interchange.
Hold on until I check my collection.

I have a shaker 1000 unit around here somewhere I would just send you if you want it. Some of the paint is missing on the buttons, so I changed it out.

Oh dang...you broke the pin in the antenna. I have another Shaker chassis that I've robbed some parts off of. It has a bad lighting circuit.

Let me look and see if i can repair the light circuit or pull the antenna plug off the board.

yup broke it right off... after some more looking, it looks like the jack inside the adapter I bought was crooked... WTF I'm pretty sure thats what broke the pin...

I soldered the illumination circuit...can't test it though because the cd changer is missing...LOL.

If it doesn't work...we just need to find an 07-newer radio and rob the circuit board out of it.

OR...we just convert your old Shaker to blue and be done with it...LOL.

PM me and we can get your straighened out.
