I never liked blacked wheels cuz from afar they can look like hubs . But once I got them I've been only getting black wheels since.

But now I'm getting a bit tired of them. When they get dirty with brake dust they looks ugly!!!

Dark stainless. Bright looking when the sun is on them, darker when it's not.

Maybe this one?

Then I see this picture and I'm turned off by how it just disappears.

If you mustang had black stripes, I would go with black rims, but without the stripes silver for sure

The issue is the all-black wheel. Get a wheel with a chrome or polished lip, it will set off the yellow very nicely.

Even a silver or gray center will look great when you put them against a polished lip.

I do like the look of the lip. And that's a pretty good point you bring up. I'm not very educated in the realm of offsets, so unless the vendor specifies that the rim will clear brembos, I tend to shy away from it.

Not a chrome fan either. :/

Well, this poll was helpful.

Either option goes well with the main color. I'd be in the same quandary myself if it were me. It would depend on my mood at the time which I'd prefer. Still not helpful...:whistle1:

Black split spoke wheels DO disappear - especially against a bright background or a lower light condition. That's an issue I had with my black chrome FR500s on my 99 Cobra. It just looked like empty wheel wells sometimes. I would love the dark stainless SVE Drifts (or hell - the AMRs look nice too, and they just introduced the same color)

I actually think the OEM Brembo wheels look best on Yellow Blaze. Just get the car to sit right and you're golden. Literally.

But I can also understand wanting to change it up a bit. Unfortunately, S197 user captdistraction deleted all of his photos when his engine took a shit. I guess he was worried about Ford finding out he raced it. I say unfortunately, because he took great photos of a GREAT looking car.

Google "captdistraction yellow blaze" and you'll find all the cached image results from his old website. Like this one, lol.

I completely agree with that.

Dark stainless ftw

I'm starting to consider that finish.

I do like the brembo wheel. But I want to ditch them for two reasons:

1. They need to be refinished. The original finished has "splotches" from age.
2. I gotta have that concave look. That's what I really really want.

I do like the EuroTeks he had on his car, I'm just not crazy about the capless look to compensate from the front hub.

To everyone who has mentioned "with stripes". I agree black rims would go better, but then I saw this "captdistraction" car. Silver wheels with the black stripes look good too. I'm just not too keen on putting Boss-Type stripes on a car that obviously isn't a Boss. :/
