Just a little update, got all the head gaskets and ARP head studs. Also got a thump rrr tensioner.

Only thing I am waiting on now is a canton windage tray and an oil pan, both have been ordered and should be here this week. The motor has been dropped off to the builder for assembly. Now I'm just waiting for it to be finished.

Also, just ordered a BMR K-member since they are having a great sale!

Finally have something to update! lol
Got the motor back from Mike at Quarter Mile Mustang, he checked over everything just to be safe and all looks good. Got the set of stock heads 08+ style, comp 127350 cams/springs/retainers, new chains, guides, tensioners, new oil pan, frpp wrinkle black cam covers, etc. Some pics:

Right now the only thing I'm waiting on before putting the motor back in is the dowel pins for the clutch. Should get started this saturday.

I still need to install my BMR K member. Should I remove the stock k member and install the motor from the bottom all together or would it be easier to do one at a time?

Love those valve covers. When do you think you will have the motor in?

Thanks everyone! I'm going to get started this weekend hopefully. I just got the dowel pins today. I still need to decide how I'm going to do it, from the top or the bottom. I hope to have it running by next weekend.

I've done both...and from my experience, I'd go from the bottom if you can lift the car up enough....Its easier and less chance of scratching the engine bay

If you've got a lift, coming up from the bottom is much easier, especially since you're swapping k-members anyway.

Looks real nice man. Yours is my favorite '05-09. Sweet ride.

Thanks for the tips everyone! Thank you! That means a lot!

Luckily I do have a lift to use and I can take my time as well. Once I get the motor bolted to the transmission it shouldn't take but a couple of hours to get it running if all goes smoothly. My only concern with going through the top is lining the motor up to the tranny, I really would rather leave the transmission in place.

I'm going to try and get started putting the accessories back onto the motor tomorrow: Headers, pulley's, Headers, clutch, etc.

Actually you can drop the engine, with the trans bolted up, in from the top without any problems.

Earl

Thanks, I just didn't want to pull the trans to attach it to the motor.

UPDATE! Finally got some work done on the car! Started today at about 10 am and finished up at about 5 pm working with one of our employees at our dealership.
Started by finishing assembly of the motor:
-Grinded down motor mount brackets for adapter plates, this was very time consuming and took 2 hours of my time.
-Installed headers and dipstick
-installed tensioner and idler pulley's
-Installed Exedy Mach 600 clutch

Started on the car by swapping out the slave cylinder with the tranny still in the car. Then pulled the stock K member, this was simple with no engine in place, took 20 minutes or so. Decided to get creative and try something for an easier install of the motor. Put the motor in place and bolted it up to the tranny with no K member in place. Raised the car on the lift while the engine was still held from above with the engine hoist. I couldn't raise it too high, but it was enough to sit under the car while it was on the lift.
Put the BMR K member in place and finished up installing it. Reconnected the steering shaft linkage and put the wheels back on it.

For short, I put the motor and K member in today :boobies:

I'll post some pics tonight!

I can't wait to get it running! Brenspeed sent me the wrong spark plugs, I'm not surprised at all honestly. Now I have another wonderful opportunity to call their customer service line, again.
Lito is working on a startup tune as well.

That K-member should lose a lot of weight. I bet the lift came in handy too. When do you think it will be running?

Installed a BMR K-Member and A-Arms in my car last November. While I did not weigh everything, here is the information from BMR’s web site:
- OEM K-Member + motor mounts weighs 44 lbs.
- BMR K-Member + mounts weigh 24 lbs.
- BMR A-Arms are 11.2 lbs lighter than the OEM for the pair.
- Providing a total of 31.2 lbs weight savings.
