Is it worth putting stuff like that or the other brand in the Intercooler
reservoir? I put a bottle in the radiator and couldn't really tell. I didn't do any real test to tell though and in MI the weather changes all the time.
Thanks,
jk

I don't have a water gauge but I bought the same type of stuff from Wal Mart; it's green, comes in 16 oz vice the 12 oz Red Line Water Wetter from Advance and is only $6.88 a bottle. When I compared the specs on the back they were the same.

It works best with 100% water for intercooler systems. Instead of raising the boiling point like coolant it keeps the water to around 200-205 so it cant boil. If you going to use it in the radiator with coolant it isnt going to have any effect really on a 50/50 setup your gonna want 25% coolant 75% water and 1-2 oz per quart of WATER in the sytem, That way coolant can still do its job and the water with wetter will remove heat better.

Red line was what I was trying to think of. I'm going to add a bottle to the intercooler and see if I can see any diffrence on the intake air. Red line has no anti-freeze properities and my little tank is full so I'll ruin my wife's trukey baseter and remove enough to add a bottlle and come winter maybe pull some out of the tank and add antifreeze if the hydometer doesn't show it not being good enough to not freeze. I doubt it, but not worth freezing the core. Unless I was sure it was the one by the raditor, and that would be a good reason to buy the Afco. Just kidding.
