Thought I'd be different. Scary is an understatement. I'm still nervous that it won't start or that I forgot something. Here is the usual.

I know that feeling :roflmao:
Or the thought of messing up the timing or not enough oil pressure..... Its amazing the thoughts you go though right before you turn that key :roflmao:
You'll be fine though, just make sure your EXTREMELY THOROUGH and it all will work out

I will hopefully find out this next week if she starts and then the break in.
Just a suggestion if you didnt plan to do this but before starting the motor.... Pull the injector and coil clips then turn the motor over a bunch of times to get some oil flowing...... Thats a soild piece of mind before the actually fire up.... Also, try to poar coolant down the thermo opening with the thermo stat out.... I should have did this.... It made burping the motor a bitch lol

Revealing motor plan!!!

CAN I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION, PLEASE?

ok, so I decided I will go ahead and spill the beans because things are
starting to get a little technical and Ive been needing to get some questions answered, and its hard to do when your trying to keep a secret.

The motor is a Boss 50 Big Bore with stroker kit (324ci) Kellogg crank, diamond pistons, manley rods, all arp hardware, etc

There is still another surprise that will make this motor stand out from the crowd, but that WILL be kept a secret until I have it installed.

tore the engine down completely and what a relief! The oil pump was still in tact and working so that was not the failure...

Here are some pics!

That's a big money bitch your building.... But she is gonna make some good power. Nice choice on the setup.

I figured do it right the first time because I cant afford to do it again...If the new one blows, Im cutting my losses and will find a stock 4.6 and sell her...

And I just graduated so no more tuition + book fees. Still broke as hell, but hopefully I will have a job opportunity soon and will have more money

ok...so Ive been cleaning up and getting all the small minor details done.

- Painted all parts black (manifold/intercooler, coolant crossover, motor mounts, water pump, fuel rails, throttle manifold, etc)
- Also, got valve covers/front covers prepped are ready to be sent to shop for custom air brush paint job
- Got all the gauges ready to be hooked up
- Ordered and received my Livernois oil scraper
- degreased, washed, and waxed engine bay

All I need now is the motor to get here so I can put on all the new parts and drop her in. Then we can put her on the dyno.
