Hey everyone, I just got my Borla ATAK catback with x-pipe installed in my 2013 5.0. I am having an issues with the passenger side mid pipe hitting the frame. Driver side has plenty of clearance but the passenger side rattles when I am driving around town on a smooth surface or when turning. The shop that installed did everything they code to fix the issue for me. They unbolted the mid pipe to axle and readjusted everything and I am still having this issue. I will be contacting borla in the morning but was wondering if anyone has had this issue with the Borla or any catback for that matter and how was the issue solved?

Any update to this? I'm curious since I'll be completing the ATAK system sometime in the future. I just have the Axleback right now.

were the hangers adjusted at all to help create some added clearance?

The midpipe doesnt have hangers. It was probably the clamps. If they arent positioned correctly they will cause a rattle.

Good question. My S-type axle back came out of the box with a bent hanger and would have caused problems if I hadn't bent it back.

Borla is not without it's issues. A friend had me put on an axle back on his '12 Vette and the mufflers were labeled wrong. Right and left sides were backwards. Took quite a while to figure it out since they were almost identical. They would bolt up but were off just enough to cause problems.

Yep, even my axlebacks were a bit off. One side (I think driver's) would have scrubbed the valence when they put it on, and they spent a good hour or two trying to figure out what was causing it to set like that. They went from the cats all the way back (factory) to make sure nothing was off. I think they had to mess with the hangers a bit. Today though, it still doesn't have a perfect protrusion(?) coming out of the rear valence. Maybe when I start putting a Watts Link on, I'll see if I can't mess around to make it look better.
