A couple months ago we released our Brenspeed B326 3V stroker engine over on www.brenspeed.com . We thought we would give you an update on Miles 2010 Mustang GT (Gold Member) who has been driving his B326 powered Mustang daily to work, NMRA races, and local tracks. The Brenspeed B326 3V engine is designed to work with your factory or aftermarket cylinder heads and factory variable cam timing. This makes it an affordable built upgrade if your stock engine failed and because it will allow the use of variable cam timing your fuel mileage, low end, and high rpm power will not be sacrificed.

This 2010 Mustang GT is running our Brenspeed B326 stroker engine, stock heads and stock cams, and our Roush 3V supercharger package with an upgraded Brenspeed Spine 2.75 supercharger pulley. This Mustang also runs our Brenspeed rearend package with a set of FRPP 4.10 gears. Miles drove it to one of our closer tracks about an hour away a couple weeks ago and ripped off several 10.6@126 mph weighing in at 4,000 pounds. THAT IS HEAVY! His car is full interior, no tubular K-member, plus all of the equipment needed to make it NHRA legal (roll cage, harness, etc…)

Our Brenspeed B326 stroker engine will support 1,000 HP but Gold Member is still far from that. It is currently making roughly 650 HP using our Roush 560 Supercharger package, GT500 fuel system, our 2.75 pulley, B326 engine, stock heads, stock cams, and an enclosed air box. Gold Member has been putting down about 20 mpg and drives like stock.
The Brenspeed B326 uses high quality components you can read all about the Brenspeed B326 3V stroker internal parts by clicking here.

Although this Mustang is making great power today it all started with just our Brenspeed 560R Roush Supercharger pacakge.
If you are running a stock engine and want to see an easy way to achieve 560 HP you can click here to read more about the 560R Brenspeed Roush Supercharger package.

The stock 5R55 automatic transmission is still holding together well despite all of the racing it has been put through. Miles races this Mustang at every NMRA event plus many of our local drag races. We have found if you respect the stock auto trans it will hold together pretty well. We have had them last on 550 rwhp cars for many many drag races but if you put it through a week if street kick downs over and over they often have internal failure. The full wide open throttle runs from a dead stop are not near as hard on them as 50mph kick downs forcing the transmission to downshift from overdrive into a lower gear.

DO YOU LIKE RACING? If you are in the Ohio area Labor Day weekend we will be racing many of our engineering mustangs at the Columbus Ohio NMRA race. You can read more about the NMRA at www.nmradigital.com we always encourage car enthusiasts to get out the track and see what it is all about. You will find cool car shows, fast cars, and a vendor midway to check out the hot new parts from various manufactures.

This might be a good time also to remind you about our tech article on the variables of drag racing. We have a lot of tech articles over on www.brenspeed.com. We race all of our engineering cars all the time and believe me when it comes to drag racing there are so many variables that go into your final ET in the quarter mile. YOU CAN CLICK HERE TO READ ALL ABOUT THE VARIABLES OF DRAG RACING.
