I wanted peoples stock engine boosted 3v info seeing what everyone is using

type of forced induction
how much whp/tq
how much boost
what mods
at/mt
result still running or blown motor

thanks!
Saleen series VI blower. 2.95" Pulley
Tuned by JDM Engineering.
Ported by me.
60LB injectors GT500 Throttle body.
JBA Long tube headers catless H pipe, Magnaflows.
Gordsford HE with twin SPAL fans.
Saleen twin fuel pumps.
Afco Radiator Meziere electric water pump.
Currie 9" rear end with 35 spline axles and Wavetrac LSD.

Blower was installed Sept 2006.
Car ran 11.6 in the quarter mile first week with the blower installed with the canned tune.
Went to JDM track day at Englishtown and Jim took one look at the car running and added more timing.
The car ran 11.427 @ 120mph at 8 psi of boost.

Boost was increased to 12 psi (3.2") and the car was dyno tuned at JDM putting down 500rwhp/500 rwtq.
The car ran 11.139 I believe the DA that day was -1,600ft.

The blower was ported in 2008, injectors increased to 60lbs pulley dropped top 2.95" and dyno tuned once again by JDM Engineering. Car put down 543rwhp/500rwtq. the car was never tracked again.

The car has over 2,000 1/4 mile runs nearly 100,000 miles on the stock motor.

I have virtually all the parts to put together my 5L 3V stroker.

2010 Roush 427R auto with only minor changes, started by using the JDM Engineering 2010 Roush 427 upgrade. https://www.teamjdm.com/roush-2010-427r-teamjdm-upgrade-kit/

2.49 Pulley pushing 8-9 boost on 2010 Roush M90
2011-14 Roush CAI -- Modified to fit but not suggested... also relocated Roush Builders plaque from firewall to the CAI.
Roush off road exhaust, no headers.
JDM Engineering Tune -- 390.73hp 351.40tq on Dynojet. was a cooler day and tires were slipping on my local dyno, had to have a guy sit in the trunk for traction. Never a problem with engine or tune in 30k miles since tune, 30 track days, and several 1/4 mile runs.

type of forced induction: 2006 Saleen S281 SC

how much whp/tq: 430/400 on Mustang Dyno (prior to throttle body and porting)

how much boost: 8lbs / 3.6 pulley

what mods: 39lb injectors, Saleen extreme CAI, FRPP throttle body, ported SC lid, JDM tune

at/mt: Manual w 3:55 rear

result still running or blown motor: Factory SC Running strong w 45k, mods done at 10k

High 11's in 1/4 mile on street tires and crappy driver, runs are prior to TB/porting work.

I ran a Saleen SC for years, made 490 to the tires with the stock motor and no mods other than larger injectors, believe I was around 8-10 pounds of boost, get little super charger for the street

I’m running a Saleen VI with a 2.80” upper and +15% lower... boost gauge shows 15-16lbs under WOT... also Mosaleen no slip system to control belt slip... works great. I also of course have a huge triple pass double fan VMP heat exchanger... this is a must for 15psi on a Saleen VI and it does the job very very well... one of the best mods I’ve installed.

FRPP Twin TB, JLT 3 Intake, Brenspeed Detroit Rocker Blower cams, Kooks long-tubes, and an off-road H-pipe to increase breathing in/out efficiency.

I only run e85 as tuned by VMP. Been running like this for years... awesome and never an issue. I do have all the parts to “build” the engine to handle 1000+ HP and change the CR to 11:1... will do this later this year Nov or Dec... cost estimate $4000 for all the labor... $6000 if I chose to do ported heads.

More details on mods on signature... obviously to run e85 I have upgraded the fuel system big-time... suspension is all done to manage the power level, and other things.

Have not had her on a dyno at current power level, but I’ve been meaning to... maybe this weekend or next week... she was at 500whp before I switched to e85 and turned up the boost... so probably 650+ WHP now.

Yep this.

It’s all about tuning and if possible run ethanol to keep her burning cooler. Run ethanol and have a good not-too-agreesive tune and you’ll never see detonation and never have a problem.

I would recommend VMP tuning service to anyone with a 3V... only service I’ve ever used and the car has run perfectly every time they’ve tuned it for me.

All this said, I’m still going to build my engine with forged rods, pistons and billet oil pump gears soon because I have even higher power levels in mind for future... or if I ever want to sell her, having all the difficult and expensive things already done will be more attractive to other enthusiasts.

How is tuning going to save you from the pretzel stick connecting rods ?? Depending on how often the blower is used, and if revved to the moon, the rods will eventually succumb to metal fatigue. The only way I can see tuning to save the engine, might be to reduce timing in the midrange, which will reduce midrange tq.

I question how much and how hard you guys drive these supposed 650whp stock block cars...
Agreed. Even VMP, on their TVS-1900 upgrade for the M90 (available with quick change pulleys from 85mm, down to 63mm) sez with the higher boost configs, they are only for engs with < 50 K miles.
The FRPP whipple for the 05-10 cars, came in either a 9 psi, or 11 psi config, and the FRPP dyno sheet depicted 499 rwhp with the 11 psi config. Several of the 11 psi whipple configs ended up..'windowing' the block...with a rod shot out the side. The cops up here had a 08 manual, with the 11 psi whipple, ( black car with white doors no less, complete with suspension tweaks, and red + blue lights embedd into the grille and rear windows). It was meant as a real deal...'police interceptor'. It too, shot a rod out the side of the block, perfect rectangular hole. That was a stock eng.

Paxton 2200
Comp thumpers
Frpp cnc heads
Frpp black lung
Gt500 tb
Kooks lt
39lb injectors
533hp/442 torque
The car ran like crap under 3000 rpms between the cams and a crummy tune.
I built a stroker last winter with different cams and haven't had time yet to get any dyno or track times
