Cam question

I bought some used Detroit Rockers and there are a couple of small spots of surface rust. Can I just polish this out with something and go on with installation? If so what should I use to polish it out?

emory cloth. it will be perfectly fine as long as there are no gouges or scoring.

I used sea foam deep creep and a clean rag.
