Got a issue that i can not find. It will do it sometimes and then it won't. Put the car in say 3rd and go wide open on the throttle and you can feel the rear of the car lift a little and try to steer to the left. 1st and 2nd you can feel it but 3rd is longer so you can really feel the movement. 4th and 5th gear you don't notice it that bad due to lack of power. I figured it was maby a bad bushing in one of the control arms, so i have replaced all with new bmr upper, upper mount, lowers, panhard, new pan hard brace, new rear end upper bushing on the housing, new rear shocks. Car still did the same thing after replacing everything. I have had the car on the lift, everything looks good and straight and aligned. Even checked lower control arm body mounts and such. Also while on a lift, pulled on the suspension and such,no movement. Only thing i have not changed or checked is the posi unit. From a dead stop the car will still leave 2 marks. My question is yes it may leave 2 marks, but wonder if it is locking and unlocking at say a higher speed causing it to track. It is a factory unit with around 90,000 on it. Has anyone run into a issue similar to this. Any suggestions is welcomed.

I'd first check that tire pressure is correct. After that it might be tramlining. Do you have wide front tires? Are there grooves worn into your local roads from tires or studded tires?

Bruce,i have checked tire pressure and roll out on the tires. Even swapped to a completely different set and still the same. As far as the road, new pavement, concrete,or old road it will still do it. I mean its not a big pull to the left but enough that a passenger riding can feel the car getting upset and pulling. It feels like the right rear is trying to drive the car under full power. Just normal driving it don't do it.

Are you using LCA relocate brackets ? Are the lca's lower at axle end ? After lowering, when getting on it, mine would pull to the left, in the rain. Scared the crap outa me. So in went the bmr lca's, adj uca, lca relocate brackets, and bmr adj phb + brace.......problem solved. Later on, I had the WL watts link + eaton tru-trac differential installed on the same day. I couldn't see the point of endless re-builds on the ford traction lok.

Yes using lca relocate brackets that are welded in also. Stock spring car, using upper hole. Even swapped around springs on the rear thinking maby one was weak. Guess im gona order a locker unit and see if that fixes it. Gona need one any ways for the track next year to do some playing so might as well get that off the list. lol.

If the lca brackets are welded.. Maybe one side is a little shorter than the other?

Non adj lowers, but car loaded on rack. Axles are square within specs. Relocate brackets are square and measured and they are the same. I bought the car used and no issues, car had suspension mods done when i got it. Only thing i can think of is it started doing this one night after several runs. Im not 100% positive but i think that is when it started. This is why im kinda leaning towards the posi unit. Thinking it might just be tired and trying to one wheel peel at higher speeds. Ordered a locker last night and it will be here tuesday so gona try that. On a side note, the suspension is new.lol

Check the bushings on the LCA's. It sounds like you may have a compressed bushing allowing the rear to move under acceleration.

Are you lowered? Adjustable panhard bar so the rear end is centered? LCA control the front/rear balance, but panhard controls the driver/passenger side balance.

You said the rear shocks are new; are they stock?

My car will do it under WOT when I don't have the adjustable rear shocks set just right..it'll pull (or push) to one side a little more than the other.

I doubt you have a posi issue.

What's your front suspension setup? All stock?
What about a front end alignment? If the toe is like this \ -- / instead of how it should be (like |--| or /--\ ), it will want to wander sideways at higher speeds. If your driver toe is out instead of in, it will want to pull that way.

Thats the very first thing I was thinking...alignment!!

Have you checked your alignment? What are your settings?

So when you go WOT, your rear wants to go to the right? Is that correct?
My car used to do that when I had stock LCA.

When it does it, are you losing traction? If I break the tires loose, the rear end always wants to go to the right...or left. LOL
