Catback Install

So I have spent most of the morning in the garage trying to install a flowmaster catback. I cut the stock ota pipes off and removed everything else. The trouble I have is routing the new ota pipes. I jacked the rear and dropped the axle thinking it would give me more clearance. Anybody completed install and if so how did you do it.

Easier on a lift than on jack stands. Typically you swing the long end down so you can hook the pipe over the axle, but when you're working on jack stands the floor is in the way. Good luck!

Yes the floor is definitely in the way lol. I read somewhere that some people have done it, but just want to know how they did it. I put the front on ramps and the rear on jack stands just can't seem to find the clearance. I got the mid pipe bolted up so worse case scenario take it to the shop down the road Monday and have them install the ota's for me. If anybody has any tricks please post them!

It's been a while since I did the Heartthrob cat back on my '11 but I remember having to turn them sideways and maybe jack the rear up as far as it would go to get them in.

maybe disconnect the shocks so the rear can drop more.

Yeah I unbolted the sway bar and shocks and let the rear end fall no luck I got tired of messing with it. Bolted everything back up going to the shop Monday I am bummed really wanted to get it done.
