Hey guys,

I have an 05 blown gt and.the catch can I have had installed for about a year now is a bit different.

After my car was at a shop this past week I popped the hood after driving on a hot day. The line from the catch can to the manifold basically collapsed. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and after driving it the issue was not duplicated again.

Now, my car has always had a loud cranking sound (when you turn the key over you could really hear the starting sound) and after a recent clutch/flywheel install, the starting sound feels puny and is very quiet.

Also feels like the car is getting very hot easily. Doesn't show signs of overheating but my water pressure gauge goes well over the normal 180.

Any ideas?

For the catch can, make sure you're using hose rated for emissions and not just heater hose.

On the starter, I will assume your mechanic got the starter aligned properly after installing your new clutch. This is why it no longer makes lots of noise. Thank him the next time you see him.

Overheating, how long since you flushed and refilled the coolant? Takes an hour and you're good to go for another couple years.

It is a driver's side catch can and I used the hose provided by upr.

I have never had it flushed since I have owned the car which is about 2 years.

Like previously mentioned get some pcv rated hose.
