Hard to see on my assembled engine but with the mirror I saw it was close to a freeze plug and a small Allen head oil galley plug.

Getting close!

If you have issues with the blower pulley let me know. Not sure about that.. May slip now.

The hub is normally heated then pressed on and quickly cooled so no damage occurs to the seal inside the snout. Pressing them on can be done without heating the hub but material may be removed doing that..May compromise the overall clearance (happened to another guy).

Tried and true method. I run 23 lbs boost and does not slip

If needed dob can sell you another hub for cheap and I can walk you thru installing it. I also have a removal tool you could borrow

... AND I NEED ONE OF THOSE KY REMINDERS TO STICK ON MY WIFE LOL

Also... I did notice on your pic of the engine valley that it appears you did not shave down your knock sensor bolts. The head of those bolts are too long and with heat and boost the pan will expand and could contact them. That can cause running issues and false knock.

I shave half the head of them and then cover them in gasket maker after I tighten them

Got my own CNC so I made my own hub ;)
.003 interference fit. Heated hub to 3xx° set the snout outside cause it was -40°
Slipped right on. Didn't want aluminum cause well mine came off.
Anyway... is the 5.8 GT500 blower worth the $2000? How much more power can I get?
Thanks

Worth every penny imo! They typically go for around $1800 with the elbow. Then you need a pulley. They are different offset than the m122. But..you can run a 2.44" on it.

Mine will come off soon and ready to bolt on the dob manifold. I bought it New and has less than 1000 miles (think actually around 500). I would sell you mine for $1800 shipped plus PayPal fee. The pulley is around $150 from dob iirc and will be included.

I am going R-spec

Ok cool man. Lemme see what I get out of this setup first... I'd like 600 +/- rwhp but I dunno. Plus I should upgrade to a tremec soon before I blow up my 5 speed

Np.. this blower will make 600+ with the stock crank pulley. I will also be selling my innovators west 10%od, jlt 127 and other goodies :)

Guess wtf I'm doing tonight-! Pulling the motor out AGAIN! engine builders just left saying they want it out.

Sounds like a 6.0 power stroke on a cold night... With a rod knock

Damn.. what pistons and were the tolerances checked? Also what did the filter look like? What tensioners? Metal or plastic? New or used? Stock vct? Go away when warm? Oil pressure? What oil?

Lot of work pulling it and tearing it down just because. If making metal then I understand
