Darn things grow FAST, started at day1, 4 months later and they are ready to eat...but I got attached to them, they are a riot to watch!

the ROOSTER...all these guys want to do is have sex, and Kill other roosters!
I got 2 of them , It's sad to watch the tension rising between them. The huge battle is coming very soon, I'll probably intervene and just grill one of them, unfortunately.

Leghorns?
....how many hens do you have total?

They are "Plymouth Rocks"...5 hens. A so-called heritage breed, best known for just being friendly, and that they are. I would recommend them, I knew nothing beforehand, but they follow me around the yard some days. They just stopped 'peeping' though...now it's a cluck sound.

Can't wait to get a coop and a few hens when we move into our new house.

Chickens are very cool. I used to have one that would follow me around all day. She quit laying so I ate her.
