Mine has had a nice clunk since I installed my UCA in like June. I checked multiple times because I thought it might have come loose, it didn't still torqued to spec. Im not too worried about it, however it is annoying when just cruising around occasionally and every shift you hear vroooooom*clunk*vroooooooom*clunk* but whatever its all in the name of performance, I have definitely sacrificed more than just a little bit of noise in previous cars so I am not pressed on it.

have any of you guys checked the bushing ontop of the pumpkin by any chance?thats the only bushing i havent changed yet but by looking at the little that i can see it looks a little cracked.

Mine is fine and I still have that light clunk. I'm just learning to live with it. It's the price we pay I guess.

the thing with mines is that while accelerating i get a light clunk and that dosent bother too much but when im at the track and start to brake at the end the downshift clunk from 2nd to 1st sounds like my differential is gonna come inside the car.i mean is loud as hell.

I never really thought about how often you would hear it with an auto. Cause I get to pick and choose when my trans interacts with my diff because I can clutch in and coast. Guess it would be more of a pain in the ass with an auto cause its always downshifting and upshifting and keeping a load on the driveshaft and diff.

That is what I came to terms with today, there is always a price to pay when giving up something for better performance

That sucks man I can't comment on autos as mine is a stick as well. I hope you figure that one out tho, let us know if you find anything out.

I know this is an old post, but I keep forgetting to post my results from a while ago for future reference:

Had my car since 09 and had clunking noise after install suspension parts. I had two different shops check out the clunking noise I was getting just like some of you guys. Both shops had determined that it was not from the suspension upgrades itself. Pinion angle was checked and corrected and still no change. The only thing left was the 2piece stock driveshaft. I had trouble with the first shaft in 2010 so I hesitated to put another in. Last fall, I had one installed by a very reputable shop. Since then, the noise has stopped. The slop in the 2piece must be what caused it, like I thought originally. I guess it depends on which suspension mods you do and how they affect the drivetrain. The shaft, with the all the my current suspension mods, really tightened everything up.

Cliffnotes: If you get that irritating clunking noise when your shifting/accel/deccel, get the shaft :)

I'm glad the DS fixed your issue. However 9/10x the clunk is suspension related. Usually the UCA to mount is the culprit. The UCA torque spec is critical and almost impossible to do correctly while installed on the car.

I put energy suspension upper control arm bushings in my auto and now everytime i release or hit gass clunk clunk and god forbid i use cruise control. I believe the poly stiff bushings have brought out a hidden issue. Either dried up slip yolks in driveshaft or play in the pinion. I just changed spider gears so its not that. Th ftrucks have a ds repair kit i was going to try.

RIP - You will be missed
Polyurethane is a poor material choice for UCA bushings, and not just for the likelihood that they'll transmit more noises coming from other components.

For starters, the usual situation is that the poly part is longer than the metal sleeve that runs through it. What that means is that you're not getting the full amount of clamping force through the sleeve - some of the required installation torque is lost in compressing the poly - so the joint is likely to slip. Keep in mind that unlike the OE metal sleeves in their rubber bushings, the ends of aftermarket bushing sleeves are not "toothed" for positive location in the brackets.
