clutch / gearbox question?

cansomeone help me I'm trying to figure out if what my car does is normal or not...

while driving in any gear I'm able to take the car out of gear without the use of the clutch... but only 1 or 2 seconds after the release of the gas pedal...

That's normal. As far as I know all or most manuals can do it as a safety feature.

and if your good enough you can put it in gear without using the clutch also ...... i know i drove home 2.5hours without a clutch ....
