Very nice! I've been following this from basically the beginning and I gotta say I'm super impressed by the things you guys have been able to do with just a lot of boost!

Posted this in the Alpha 1 thread but this is probably a better spot.

I was considering opening up the kit to deposits. $1,000 down, locks you in as one of the first 20 that will have Jon or I fly into your location (in the 48 states) to tune your car in person free. With that $1,000 down, we would guarantee the kit would ship before the end of the year or your money back (unless you wanted to wait).

Deposits before then is non refundable but it is transferable (can sell it to someone else)

Who thinks this is a good idea?

Do you have a final price on the kit?

Is it install only at PBH?

No need to fly to tune or ship a kit if it was install only at PBH, right ?

Ken, How long before you need a 3V test mule ?

Correct. Here is how this will play out...

1)Right now we have started on Alpha 1. It's a stock engine/manual trans. It will be a custom copy of what is on the TT5.0. We are doing the same on a Boss and a stock engine auto. This is to make any final decisions on the system before we go into production

2)Production - This is where we take what we have and get setup to make system in a production environment where we can duplicate the kits exactly, package them, make directions etc.

3)Once we have what we feel is a final product, we enter the beta stage. That is where we will do 3-5 cars in house with the production kit. On these cars we will make a video installation video as well as a printed manual. Finalize all tuning and identify any problems that might be left.

At that point we will set a date to start shipping kits. It's going to take some time but we should be able to keep things moving at a good pace and be done by the end of the year. My main goal is to deliver a product that is as complete as possible out of the box and follow that up with awesome tuning support. For those that want it, we can also help you setup your entire car based on your goals.

Missed your question on the 3V, we will be doing a lot of the 3v work on my car, but once we get close be sure to hit me up. I doubt we will do much with the 3v until this kit is shipping.

Ok, we have decided on a final price. I'll be sending out an email to the email list by tomorrow. The email will be a recap of the project and the announcement of the pricing and $1,000 deposit option. Your priority on the list will be determined by the date you signed up for the email list. The first 20 get free in person tuning in the 48 states from Lund Racing.

I have to say that the free in person tuning is one hell of a selling point and will make sure the customer is completely happy with the kit.

Thank you. That is exactly why we are doing it. I want 100% customer satisfaction with their CAR, not just with the KIT. If that makes sense. I'm selling performance, not a bunch of metal, so I will deliver performance.

That's part of the problem when building a car. Most people buy all their parts from many different people, then get a different person to tune it. Usually winds up with a lot of finger pointing when the customer doesn't get the performance they paid for. Take a stock 5.0, add our system, let us tune it and put the supporting parts on we recommend (converter/clutch, suspension) and you will get the performance you paid for. Trying to keep the process simple. When people take on a project like this, they often get overwhelmed with the details. We will handle all the details, just have fun with your car!

Plus, doing 20 cars in person will help us dial in the standard tune. So even after the first 20, we will be able to dial in every car easily with all the data we will have.

^^^I was going to type that about finger pointing if something happens but didn't have the time. You guys definitely have your shit together and have this well planned out. Some other manufacturers better get their pen and paper out and start taking notes lol.

We are going to start seeing who wants to put $1,000 down to hold their spot and order those people by the date they signed up. Anyone interested, just wait to get the email we send out tomorrow and reply to that if you are interested in holding a kit.
