Who makes a crankcase breather filter for the 3V's? I have tried MMR, Brenspeed, Steeda, Ford Racing, MMS, Livernois, and a few others and cannot find one. The only thing I was able to find that was even close was the Ford Racing breather cap "M-6766-K302 and M-6766-H302" but they fit a 1.25" hole and the 3V's have a 1.5" hole. Anyone know a vendor for this part? Why does Ford not vent the passenger side crankcase?????

I think K&N makes them fro our cars. I thought I remember seeing a set of valve cover and oil cap breathers.

I think I found what I am looking. MMR does sale one made by Moroso (Item # 900785). It has the canister breather filter and all the hardware for $129.99. This looks like exactly what I need.

$130??? :wtf:

I swear I've seen guys on here pick those up at the local parts store for about $10-$20.

so i figure i would leave the catch can on the driver side like it was before and do a breather on the driver side.

please comfirm if this is right, or there is something wrong with my motor lol

I just purchased the baffled oil cap breather/filter from Central Florida Motorsports along with two valve cover breathers (K&N) from Summit. They should be here next week. I'll post pics after they're on and give them a couple of weeks for a performance review.

I was looking into the MMR kit/thread here on it. It can be read at http://forums.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?p=8734716

This kit only hooks up one valve cover to the breather tank and leaves the other one sealed. The claim is that the covers air space is joined at the timing cover, so there is no reason to vent both. What do y'all think about that?

it is indeed one large cavity when you break it down but as much pressure relief as possible couldn't hurt

I agree with Torch, you can't hurt by having it vented on both sides. I actually also vented my oil cap. I didn't use a catch can system but used breathers instead. The K&N breathers were like $16 a piece and I think the oil cap breather was like $49?. My thought is, why put those blow by exhuast gases back into the engine? Wouldn't I want the cleanest air possible, with the most oxygen to burn, in my air/fuel mixture? To me, venting it to the atmosphere instead of back into the engine promotes better combustion and less risk of detonation due to lowering the octane of your fuel. Plus they look nice.

I'm running this same set-up. I had the valve cover breathers before I added the oil filler filter. I didn't get much blow by even drag racing. Now that I've got the oil filler filter from Hector @ CFM, I don't get any blow by on the motor.
