Just got off the phone with an old friend who works at Flat Rock. The Mustangs they are running down the line at this moment have 3.7L v6 es with 300hp!!! and the GT's already have the 400hp 5.0L !!!!!!!!!

I just bought this thing less than a year ago and now v6 mustangs can hand me my ass!!!!!!

As much as that sucks for me it's kinda cool. Is the v6 going to be the "base" motor i take it? I'm also guessing these are going to be a mid year change for the 09?

Do you mean that the v6's are the 3.5L? and I thought they weren't going into production (both the new v6 and new v8) until 2011 at the earliest?

Its not the Ecoboost engines he said they were naturally aspirated V6's and their running them now.

Base = 300hp V6

GT= 400hp 5.0L

GT500= 600hp (dident say what engine 5.4L? 6.2L?)

I have a turbonetics kit that I plan to install next weekend. Just sucks that the car was bought last year and the V6's are making the same power the very next year.

Unless these are some kind of prototypes...I doubt they are actually running on the line. They aren't coming out for another year.

Here is the 2010 order guide.

It's evolution. Most every new Mustang has out powered the previous model.

Not a big fan of the new body either. I am happy with what I have.

Plus, by the time aftermarket catches up to the new setup, we are going to have a flooded market and way better prices than what we see now. So, we should be able to go faster, cheaper.
