The GT500 brakes won’t fit inside your factory wheels. An easier upgrade is to get the rotors and caliper anchor brackets from a 2011-2014 GT. They use the same calipers you have now, but give you 13.2” rotors compared to the factory 12.4”, and no wheel clearance issues with the OEM Ford 18” wheels.

Hi Marcus,
as I´m still new to the forum, PM/direct conversation is not yet available for me.
Regarding the photo, I meant whether you recognize the place where it was taken. It's clear that you don't know every Gen6 pony that's ever passed through ;)
I don't know of a silver 5-series in Hzk., but last Saturday we saw a 5-series convertible from Waakirchen at the US car meet in Pullman.
I haven't noticed your Cougar yet. Has your 5-series been registered in the meantime?
Let me know if you're attending any meets.
Next weekend there are events in Augsburg and Ulm, but we won't be going to those.
But on Sunday we'll be at Motorworld Munich, and on Monday in Bad Tölz — that's the plan for now.

Already not really taking the easy way with the car I choose.

With how they are now I agree they will never fit even by just looking at it.
But since the GT500 (07-12) Wheels are also 18" and Ford clears the 18" Boss 302 Wheels it can't be by much.
Since (for now) I'm just running a Stock engine I would only need the 14" kit (so the same as the 07-12 GT500).

With how the Stock wheels spokes and calipers are formed I would have to run spacers with the 14" kit anyways to clear them if they fitted. I can probably get away with 20mm's in the front (if the rotors aren't significantly thicker) and since the inside of the wheel is kinda conical I'm wondering if it would work, since I'm also out of the way of the balancing weights with 20mm's......

Does someone know anybody close by with a GT500 who would be willing to borrow me his brakes? lol

The threshold can only be either 4 days or 15/16 posts. That's when I unlocked it lol

It has to be the "hill" between Oberwall and Holzham in Breitenberg.
And you'd be surprised how many cars I recognise by minimal details.

That's funny.... gotta ask him about you.

Well I'm mostly around Rosenheim, but where you took the photo is my high speed route to Bruckmühl lol.

It's not and probably won't be until late June because it's still the way it came out of the container lol plus then I need to get it TÜV'd and you know how it is with the Zulassungsstelle....

I don't have anything planed yet (mostly because I don't know whats nearby) except the Cougar meet in Hessen in 10 days which has priority now lol. But once the Mustang is legal I'd gladly join you on some.

From memory when I sold a friend a set of the 14” GT500 Brembo brakes for his 06 GT, he needed 25 mm spacers for clearance with the particular 18” factory wheels that he had. Boss 302 had 19” wheels by the way, the 07-10 GT500 wheels are the only OEM Ford 18” wheel that goes over the 14” brakes.

Were those the same 18s or different ones?
I can ask the inspection guy how big of a spacer I'm allowed when the car is getting it's pre registration inspection since I'm already gonna ask him about the brake upgrade.

I'm talking about the Boss 302 Upgrade Wheels from the Ford Performance site.

I’m sorry, it was 10+ years ago and I don’t recall which specific 18” OEM wheels were on his car. I know that would be helpful as obviously the spoke and barrel clearance could vary. The other issue discovered is that the OEM wheels were studs had to be trimmed down a bit with the 1” bolt-on spacers as they protruded just slightly past the wheel mounting surface.

Really? I had two tell me I had to do it with two * infront and behind it to close it off....
But regarding the Tails and how I wanted to do it I got the ok.....
TUV guy told me yesterday when he was searching for the VIN, that it is not necessary anymore to have it engraved somewhere else.
Inspection now 163€ :angry1:

Well they all want it differently.... you know how it is....

I got an e-mail that my modified tail harness should come back soon so I'm excited for that.

You heared about the rumor where they wanna require it annually now?

Yes, I guess it will come, Spain has already. Part of the UN Agenda 2030, on display at the walls in my city hall. The new regulation for motorcycle tires is completely nuts too. (If Continental Sport 2 is replaced with Sport 3, we need a new TUV approval again with additional costs)

Germany... right?
