Damn!! Now what?

So I am on the highway and I decide to drop to 4th and punch it all of a sudden the car starts hesitating or hunting as it pulls and feels like Im losing power I glance at my gauges and my air/fuel ratio is 10.0 and I am like why so rich. I let out. Driving normal its fine.So I try it again after getting back on the highway from making sure my power pipe is secure to the throttle body but this time in third, same thing. a/f ratio still 10.0... Im going to see my tuner later this week, but any ideas what this could be guys? Thanks..

Yes. Always have for over a year and a half of being boosted.

Check to make sure that control box that controls the CMCV plates didnt fail. That would cause it to stumble and run rich.

If you buy them new the CMCV plates are around $175.00 from Ford....I would recommend buying delete plates and deleteing them.

Agreed. I was able to get a much smoother power band after I deleted them, hence the box sitting on my work bench.

Yeah the CMCV plates are useless and are more trouble than anything when it comes to adding performance to these cars.

If its not the delete plates you could of had a 02 sensor fail as well, possibly bad plugs....other things to check into.

Ok. Thanks. If it is the plates I think I may just delete them because I should have done this a long time ago. I know the plugs are good because I had new plugs put in this year. Hopefully it is a simple fix but we will see. Thanks for the good info.
