Contact Lito and make sure it's ok first. But you update it with the SCT device updater, the same way you load a new tune on the device. When you plug it in it should ask you to update it. If not then there is an option to update. You will have to flash your car back to stock first, then plug the tuner into the computer and update it.

This is how he told me to do it.
Plug in sct to car
Turn key to on position
Open live link
Connect sct device to computer
Open configuration file he sent
Then start logging

Will try that and if it doesn't work I guess I'll have to try and update my tuner

Yes it is, does it not only plug in 1 way?
I can load tunes onto the tuner from my computer and I can load tunes to the car, the only thing I can't do is datalog.
Lito told me something to try today so I will try that and we will see

Well I mean the only thing that is wired is the FireWire to my wideband.
I found a couple of other threads that say the exact order to do everything and they are slightly different so I guess I am gonna try that tonight.
I called SCT and they couldn't figure it out but they were gonna remotely figure it out through my computer but they couldn't stay connected to my computer.

FWIW this works for me: I have the laptop booted up and livelink running. Plug the x3 into the car and wait for it to power up then plug the x3 into the computer. Start car, wait for x3 to talk to the computer and link up. Select "start datalogging" and select the pids.

It took me awhile to get the process and order down but once I had something that worked there haven't been any problems. Don't give up, it will work.

Alright I will try that, you did mean select the PIDs before you began dataloging right?

You have a config file, I forgot about that. You will first need to "open livelink configuration", and select the file, wait for it to load, then "start datalogging".
