I saw this and spent the whopping $10 for it. I probably will never feel the difference, but the stamped brace is a joke and for $10, I can't see why not.

and that is from their own outlet..........here is the same part on their website

Now not many would spend $131, but $10????? Come on.

BTW, it's not a typo and I have a tracking number already.

I assume this brace stiffens up the body in the back or stiffens where the pan hard attaches?
Never looked it up

Pretty useless, but I guess you could go back to the point of it being $25 shipped and then it might be worth it to a few guys because it's prettier to look at.

Yeah, where the panhard attaches at the body, this brace ties both side of the chassis together. In a corner, the side load holding the rear end in place is done by a body bracket, this brace helps hold the body bracket.

When I was under mine the other day changing the rear sway bar I looked at the brace and could twist it with my bare hand, not much to it. Like I say, for $10 it's not much thought, I'll have more in the shipping than the brace.

Hell, my wife and I get a meal out that we complain about and it costs me $50.

For $25 bucks shipped, why not give it a try? It's about as effective as a strut tower brace and those are $125+. Thanks for sharing the info!

The biggest advantage is that if you have large tailpipes it's easier to get everything to clear. Rattling tailpipes suck!!!

If you want to clear exhaust items, the BMR version, which uses rectangular tubing, provide for a full almost 2" more clearance, cuz of the slight bend that BMR put in the brace. It's made from DOM. http://www.americanmuscle.com/bmr-p...ID=bmr-panhard-support-0512-MusOnly&year=2014

But for $10, the one shown is a bargain.

The oem, 3 x sided stamped steel brace is pure junk.. but the brace actually has very little loading on it, when in tension.

I have the Freedom Racing version of the PHB brace. I know that I paid more than $10 for it. :(

I couldn't really tell and difference from the driver's seat, but like others have said, for that price, why the heck not?

For $25, I snagged this piece. I'll strip it and repaint it my color of choice.

This makes me guilty of modding just for mod's sake.

Why would you say this? Ford did a computer analysis of the chassis and knows it needs a brace. They integrated mounting hardware and attachment points. The stock brace is clearly a low dollar piece since every dollar counts when mass producing. I guess Whiteline, Steeda , and BMR should have consulted you before they wasted time engineering, making jigs, producing, and testing their braces. I can't imagine that anything that strengthens the chassis is useless. Must feel good knowing that absolutely every dollar you have spent on a car has been 100% worthwhile.
