Pulling the dent on the bottom of my door from hitting a coyote.

Sonic blue primer

After first prime

First prime is blocked, and ready for second prime

Second prime and ready to be blocked

Removed quarter windows for SHR flush louvers

Windows out!

Priming around the edges where the window knife skinned it up

Masked in booth!

Base coat(s)

After clear coat

Thanks John! Still got quite abit of work left. I am going to wet sand and buff the entire car out to a nice smooth, orange peel free finish.

Have you thought of changing the mirrors to agent 47s or painting your stock ones (if you have paint left)?

Have actually thought about getting some painted mirror skull caps. Not a big fan of the agent 47's. The look outta place on our cars IMHO.

I am sure Ill have lots of questions for you DKS. I am not sure If I treat new paint the same as normal when detailing. Once I cut and buff it, I would like to seal it and wax it with top notch stuff. Is this a good Idea with fresh paint?

Holy cow buddy. Thats flippin' sick! When I need my car repainted, I'm coming to you. When I saw the base coat pictures, I was thinking you should leave it like that but I understand about the clear coat situation. I love how reflective it is, you can easily see the gas tanks (I'm assuming) on the hood and on top of the mustang

No, for sure don't do any sealing or waxing for awhile. Buff with something that is paint booth safe like M105 and M205. Don't use any type of "all in one" stuff, cleaner waxes, etc. You want to just use pure stuff to buff the car with until the paint has cured completely. Basically, use something that has cut, but no protection.

I usually use the Meguires SoloCut #86 system that uses the single compound and three different pads. The stuff works awesome! How long should I wait, and what should I do If I go to a car show between not and when its cured?

Let it cure 60-90 days before you put any kind of wax or sealant on it.

If you are going to a show, I'd just polish it up good and skip the rest. I can't think of any sealant or wax that would be "safe" Being as how it's new paint, it's going to look good just polished anyway.

I think there are some glazes out there that are still not safe for fresh paint. Be sure to check first before you use one.

Thanks guys! I have some pics I took while I am wet sanding and buffing it. I even went ahead and buffed the decklid for a little teaser. It looks like a damn mirror!
