still buffing,lol. I have one side done with the 2nd buffing (swirl free) and it looks alot better! I am still waiting on my flush louvers to come in as well. So who knows when Ill be able to get it finished up. Ive already missed 3 of the bigger cars shows I was planning to go to.

No, not really. The only thing that gets sanded out of the base is dirt chunks. You would sand right through all of your base if you tried to wetsand it. If doing an actual "show car" the Ideal thing to do would be, base the car, clear it, Block the whole thing with 1000 grit, and then reclear with three coats a week later. The wet sand and buff it out. My hood was actually done this way. Not by choice tho haha. It had a little sag in the front edge. Ended up cutting through the clear into the base. So, had to wetsand the whole hood, spot in the cut through area, and reclear it.Would it do any good to color sand the base before the clear, as well as the clear?
