I took it to a pro it cost me $250 to get it completely dyno tuned. Car runs perfect. We had to actually detune it a little because it was putting out to much power for stock internals. I think that what happened is when I posted on here asking if it was possible to get an email tune for a procharger set up. Steve took it upon his self to write me telling me to call cause they could easily do it. Then he proceeded to tell me it would run perfect just download and drive. He wanted to get me in the door to get my money. I am sure he thought it would work but after it didnt and wouldnt work. Just wanted to say it could take longer and longer and longer. What kind of tuing place tells you to go out and make wide open throttle pulls on your car that is popping and cracking through the intake.

I had the same problem, there are no nearby tuners like Chiron said. Lito is doing my tune remotely and I couldn't be happier with it. As long as you have a wideband and give the tuner good feedback it can be perfect in a remote tune.

I agree 100%^^ You hit the nail on the head though. You have to give the tuner good feedback and make sure he/she knows your set-up..

They are out absolutely nothing not one penny. I am the one that is out money. If they simply returned my money we would all be where we started. originally. I have no product of theres now will never purchase from them again. I would rather pay $50 more for an item then buy it from those guys I spend thousands on thousands on my car and they didnt want a piece of that and my friend will not be buying from them either.

Understood. But Steve is in sales and he is doing his job. He is selling. Its up to the person actual writing the tune to get it right. Now if Steve was selling and writing the tune, thats a whole different story.

I had talked to Lito as well. Very knowledgable and great guy was actually going to go his route but he as a smart tuner that knows better told me he would not do it unless I got a wideband installed. Maybe Im nieve it sounded too good to be true and yep it sure was. Steve was such a nice guy on the phone I couldnt help but believe what he was telling me.

I completely agree, we shouldn't hate on Steve at all. It's Chris that is letting his company and tuning slide, Steve is just a long for the ride unfortunately.

Steve is selling a product he knows nothing about. He took my money without even knowing what the tuner thought I guarrantee you he had never said one word to him until after he got my money.

I copied this reply I just sent to Jewc..I think its important in this case, and several others that have happened with BBR recently..

"The owner has his head up his ass and/or just doesnt give a fuck. I think Steve is the scapegoat here. The fucking owner should get involved and not be Captain silent seeing as he is the mother fucker writing the damn tune!! He is leaving Steve to get lambasted and Steve isnt writing the tune!!! Where the fuck is the owner!!!"

Yes Steve is in the sales department but the issue here is he was very deceptive in telling the OP they could get his tune spot on with no problems. The OP was turned down by other companies because they were very honest with him about tuning his car.

I agree, tuning is up to Chris, but the other two are still making promises based upon sales and not delivering.

I am going to play devils advocate here..But dont you think Steve went to the owner or whoever actually writes the tune and ran the situation by them? I am clearly speculating here though..

I think steve sold me a tune without even asking the owner if he would be interested in doing it. Then I think at that point he was like lets give it a shot since its paid for. Steve says they wont refund because I received a service by them reading my datalogs and I swear they didnt read them anyway due to saying do it this way now and do it that way and here do this strategy but now we need more then that and a week later oh we didnt realize the o2 werent reading But wait yeah guess they were sorry. Another thing thats funny is My car had always gotten 20mpg Just doing the stuff they asked me to do it said it was getting 11mpg. After tuning it at a shop it was getting 22.8 on the highway home. The service I received was faulty and not as described. I mean I would love to start charging people $170 to email them a couple times. Ill tell you what if anyone is interested Ill email you at half price $85 and call it a service.

I would agree that ultimately the final responsibility would fall with Chris the owner since he is the one writing the tunes. It truly does seem as though all BBR really cares about is getting the customers money and not following thru with any real customer service.

For some odd reason BBR reminds me of HLYWOOD, he repped them big time. I guess both parties listed above were in it for the money, we got rid of one, maybe we should the other? Hey at least they make good billet LCA's....
Sorry to hear what happened with the OP, this process does take some patience but the buyer needs good customer service to go along with it. I don't like BBR's sales tactics, a little too aggressive if you ask me. Might have to get in touch with CDC up in Novi, MI and try to get their authorized RTR partnership yanked. Might need to show them some forum posts.

Let's not forget it's Sunday, when most people are off work. Maybe BBR will have something to say tomorrow?
