Ok I just picked up a set of 2 Eagle F1 tires 275/40/18. They were new take offs from a new vette. Any one have experience with these tires? I got both for $120. Either way it was a decent deal for some extra tires. 275 was the max I could push for my factory polished bullits. Just need some decent grip for the street cause I hate putting mileage on my et streets unless I'm at the track

They are really decent tires. I'm running 255/45 and 285/40-18 on the front and rear respectively. They were low mileage (>1000mi) takeoff tires from a GT500. I didn't need the tires at the time but at $300.00 for the set, I couldn't pass it up.

I run them on my stang. I love em and highly recommend them. Even got a video on my youtube page burning up the old ones. Got so sticky couldnt even spin them the second time just kept pushing the car while the front brakes where locked up.

I use them at the strip to and they hook up well for street tires.

My rears are 285/18/45 and fronts are 245/18/45

I have Eagle F1 GS D3s on all four corners 275/40-18. Great summer tire and the ONE time I got caught in the rain in the car (traveling to Mustang Week in South Carolina) they performed superbly in the pouring rain at high speed. That being said, they don't like the cold and morning moisture and I've lost it a few times and now rarely take the '05 out beyond 12/1.

If you've got good weather year round you'll love them...

First, are you asking about the F1 supercars? If so...

They are not rated very well, check tirerack.com. Generally people complain of quick wear and poor grip, a uniquely awful situation.

I asked about them on a local forum and the owner of a Ford GT said they were very poor tires.
