You are are partially correct. He did do a great job, but it actually kinda was funny. I couldn't help but chuckle as I'm laying under the car, with the motor still in, and pull a chunk of piston from the side of the motor. Or, when I unbolt the starter and a chunk of it falls of as soon as you unbolt it. I felt bad for his misfortune, by couldn't help chuckling. Lol

I've been thinking about a KB once the cars paid off. This just confirms my thought that boosting a stock short block is totally the wrong thing to do. If I go KB, I have to go forged first.

There are plenty of stock engines running 450rwhp for years.
I wouldn't gamble with 500whp though.
Me personaly I will be fine with 430 to the wheels.

I was around 470rwhp with my Saleen s/c and spun a top bearing on the stock long block. Certainly a line in the sand that should not be crossed unless willing to re-build. At least my block survived....this one sure is some good carnage. Good luck with the build!

It the luck of the draw honestly some blow with 40 miles ( me ) some live for 5+ years...The way I look at it either do the forged motor first then the blower or have the money for a forged motor

I am sure the tune and the quality of the fuel plays a significant role. You could get a bad batch of pump gas and have a tune that runs a little to close the ragged edge and boom.

Willing and able to rebuild.. But I think I need that final push to get me to go the extra mile.. My engine has been a champ so far and when it goes, it doesn't owe me a dime..

That is the attitude to have. Your taking a risk when you mod your motor with a blower period. The more you push it the more risk your taking.

Op had 5 years on this setup........thats awesome. If my motor goes after 5 years, I wont hold a grudge! LOL
